We should never forget what war is, War is something that nobody wants it's bad and ugly but as long as we are together no matter what race you are if you are american and love this country we all have to stick together to keep this nation strong. Our freedom and liberty mean so much to those who never made it home.

21. My Great Uncle Julian Strand Died during the Normandy Landings on D-Day of German – occupied France in Europe along with my Grandpa which was my Dads Dad that was in Patton’s Third Army, he fought all the way though the Battle of the Bulge but he got to come back home…

23. I bet these last few survivors look down at these graves & just Reminisce on them crazy war days. The could’ve been part of these men & women laid to rest. Only a few more left who can steal the story.

    1930 – 2019
    My late grandpa was a WWII Airmen. He died in cancer. He once said to me, we never wanted to go to war but we had to, for the Allied and for Europe. He gave me his WWII Diary and his medals. Unfortunately he died two years ago. Here is something he said to me the last time I saw him.
    "When I die, dont cry becuase I am gone, smile becuase I was here" a few weeks later he died.
