Woman sues 911 dispatch company after calls allegedly went unanswered l ABC News

1. I wondered about there 911 calls when I was watching the story. I heard a lot of the 911 call…and I was wondering why cops were not sent there. Luckily the p.o.s. had just tried to break into the first house and they called 911. So in a way…the idiot helped them, and helped get himself put down

3. Just like the police the operators don't care about public safety because they're not legally bound by law to serve or protect it's all PR statement

   "Ma'am, you're going to have to calm down. Now, I have a list of questions you need to answer, are you ready?"

5. Can u imagine if you’re by yourself? This is chilling.

6. Yeah. Thank your representatives, mayor and whoever wants you not armed to protect yourselves. Gun laws kill unarmed people, by preventing them from protecting themselves.

7. It was fortunate that there was a cop who was already in the neighborhood and rushed over to where the threat was and killed the assailant. If only the 911 dispatcher had done his/her job the correct way, it would’ve been handled differently.

9. THIS IS CRAZY. MY SISTER ONE DAY CALLED THE POLICE WHEN SHE HAD AN ARGUMENT WITH HER BOYFRIEND AND SHE IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP THE PHONE BEFORE THEY EVEN ANSWER, THE POLICE CALLED HER BACK AND SHE DIDN'T ANSWER AND ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER THE POLICE WAS KNOCKING AT OUR HOME SAYING THAT SINCE SHE DIDN'T ANSWER THE CALL THEY CAME TO MAKE SURE SHE ALL RIGHT. SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS CASE..I JUST DON'T. THIS IS SAD AND THIS STORY COULD OF HAD A SAD ENDING, BOTH SISTERS COULD OF BEEN KILLED.

10. One lawsuit I fully support and hope they have to pay big time. Thank God for the off duty hero for being diligent and on point.

12. 911 can track location of cell phones but they couldn’t find their location and send police out??? I hope all 4 operators were fired!!

19. in a response to the lawsuit the dispatch service said that the address was not audible… thats why police were not sent… they couldnt hear the address… its funny how they never play that part of the 911 call.

22. Private Dispatch Company? Why would anyone allow this. Sue the lawmakers that allowed this. Why would anyone allow a private company to decide who gets help and who doesn't?
