7. I lived 15 minutes from Golden City and 20 minutes from CJ but was working in Joplin driving myself to my moms house in Webb City till I could get to my aunt and uncles house

30. It was bad here in Jefferson City but we was lucky no one lost their lives I was lucky we had warning and I was able to get my mother grandmother and my 7 month old down into the basement now we are flooding I pray for them that lost loved ones in other towns

40. ARE YOU LISTENING Gov. Mike Parson?! Homes and buildings MUST be built to withstand the ever increasing and intensifying storms and weather events happening in Missouri. Will you be bold and think outside the proverbial "box" and consider rebuilding with Dome technology and reinforced materials please. FEMA already classifies domes as "Near safe structures", so why are they being ignored in favor of substandard conventional building materials and techniques? If devastated home owners qualify for government help to rebuild their home, why not let them choose a new dome home or a conventional building? Zoning laws are the nemesis of every potential dome home owner, and that has GOT to stop now. Dome homes can look beautiful, yet most zoning laws severely restrict where dome homes can be located simply because of their shape and a zoning commissions unfamiliarity with dome technology. This is 2019 people. Can we get over our outdated mind set that only square/oblong shaped houses are "normal" and aesthetically acceptable please?! Monolithic domes and American Ingenuity domes both guarantee their domes to withstand tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and other extreme weather events. They are fireproof and termite proof. They are also the ultimate "green" buildings in that they are extremely energy efficient due in large part to their shape.

    Many of NASA's concepts for habitation on Mars are domes or dome shaped buildings. How long will it take for people to get past the imaginary hurdle of not looking "weird" simply because they live in a dome home I wonder.
