Regardless of age we are human and we all have a breaking point, either way, the kid is dumb for stepping up and talking to a grown man that way. I take it as the kid got taught a lesson other than what the class was teaching lol
In India, you are dead if you ever talk to your teacher like that! Primary teacher, professor, lecturer, Engineering professor etc. doesn't matter, if you disrespect your teacher you're getting buried alive by everybody else, including your parents.
That student used that basketball as a weapon, and approached him in a violent manner… at that time he feared for his safety and took necessary action. Hitting a public servant is a felony, self defense

If I was the parent of that kid, I would drop the charges on the teacher, bring my son home, then beat him up myself. Sorry, I’m an asian dad and I am strict as hell.
Thats what happens, the teacher told him time and time again. Teachers are put under way too much stress to have to deal with this too. That student was asking for it.
