This woman didn't even like the United States months back!! She refused to respect our Country and our flag by remaining in the locker room during the National Anthem, now she wants the U.S. to risk a trade for an Arms Terrorist for her release? You've gotta be kidding me, this is a 100% Biden move to swap a low level drug smuggler for an international terrorist! This reminds me of what Biden did in Afghanistan!
I am sure when she gets out, she will be on The View within a month praising how she hates the USA and loves Biden.
We're trading away a Bond villain for a pot smoking basketball player?
I wonder if "the big guy" is getting something on the side!
First free all Americans in America on Marijuana charges/Russia can keep dumb ass Brittney/she doesn't deserve to come back to America not yet.
If she despises the us…and feels oppressed in America..what a perfect place to be for probably years!!
She is gay in that country it's unacceptable
Meanwhile no news on the marine…or the amish man sent to prison for selling chickweed and bloodroot… please pathetic
Leave her in Russia
Shows how weak and corrupt the present administration, stooping to their knees negotiating with the enemy. Our president is a traitor. Putin is playing our president like a pawn, so easy to do.
If the US does a trade on this, other countries will begin arresting American citizens for any little thing (like taking too long to walk across a crosswalk, or rolling past a stop sign – both wrong, but really minor) and holding them in their jails until we agree to give up another international criminal that we've got in jail/Gitmo. I thought our strategy is to NOT negotiate about things like this. The world is getting a clearer and clearer picture of how weak and vulnerable the US has become, and taking every opportunity to strike. Putin did it.
She shouldnt have put America in this position to have to swap a criminal to save her from prison. Let her pay her dues
She shouldn't be doing ANY drugs at all! Then she wouldn't be in this trouble.
Keep her there..
When state warns you not to travel to a particular country and you do it anyway its on you.
What if Griner did get arrested on purpose for this?
We don’t want her
She’s what’s wrong with America in 2022 anyone who don’t stand for the national anthem an makes as much money as she does gets what she gets karma comes in all diff shapes and sizes I feel bad but you can’t make mistakes like that traveling outside the country of the untied states of America 🇺🇸
Lord forbid we criticize America. Somehow that means we believe we have no privileges.
Bla Bla Bla…. Help me 🙄🙄🙄 Why she’s going there and do bad things anyway 🤷â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ🤷â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ🤷â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ🤷â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ
I thought they drug tested in professional sports?
This should be a national vote as to we even want to do a trade. Clearly the U.S public doesn’t want her to come back and giving up an arms dealer for a dumb put head makes absolutely no sense. I smoke weed too and even I don’t play with this privilege that is within US borders smh.
Leave her right where she is..she knew what she was doing and what she had on her but she thinks cuz she plays wnba she can do whatever she wants..i hope russia says no and show everyone in America your not better than any laws in a foreign country becuase your an American citizen
headline October 3, 2027 US officials attempt to negotiate prisoner swap for Griner's release
We don’t support giving Russia murderers in exchange. Stop this ludicrous process. Serve your time unless a fair exchange.
Leave her there! America hater!
Bet she won’t do that again
I call it first- After all, this is over, Griner will get a book, TV appearance, and movie dealer and make millions from her so call terrifying ordeal. And whereas the military guy will get a "Thank you for your service, now move along" welcome.
