Every law enforcement officer needs to realise from this day forward that when you put on a blue uniform and badge everyday you are accountable. There will be multiple people with iPhones videoing you from every angle. Every car you pull over, could potentially be recording you and your conversations. Black people don’t have to be afraid anymore of being threatened or shot. The tide has turned at last. But this is just the beginning of accountability and just law enforcement practices.

    Not that it was ever really about defending Chauvin himself. They couldn’t give two shits about the guy. It was just an attempt to delegitimize the BLM movement (which had turned Floyd's death into a rallying cry) by claiming it was never a murder at all so they could paint the protestors as a bunch of criminals who defend criminals, demonize police officers, and riot and destroy property for no reason. It didn’t work because it turns out “Don't believe your lying eyes" isn't a compelling argument to anyone who watched the video and has more than a single brain cell.
