12. There is no teacher shortage. Lots of qualified teachers have left for better paying jobs and workplaces where they are actually respected. Parents and administrators have managed to suck any out any joy that was left in teaching

13. Candy coating for teachers quitting. Now just imagine a first grader at home alone on Friday. Or the parents will need to find and pay for child care. So that just increased the house hold costs of how many families??? Great job Texas!! Again…

18. I thought school was for the benefit of CHILDREN, not the benefit of TEACHERS! What a sad state of affairs this country is coming to. All this to avoid paying teachers more money! They can send BILLIONS to help UKRAINE fight a war…they can spend BILLIONS on CLIMATE CHANGE nonsense, but, they won't pay teachers…they would rather cut a day off of the learning days for children. What is America coming to?

19. This is a stupid ass idea. Kids are coming out of school dumb as hell already, and now they will have so many days taken off that they need to learn in? There is so much that kids have to cram into their heads in 12 years, and like I said they come out not knowing basic facts already, or knowing how to write correctly. This is going to be even worse.
