Texas fared much better against this week’s winter storm than the one that walloped the state last year. But several parts of the country are digging out of a wintry mess.

  1. For the people blaming green energy for the outages:

Wind power accounts for 23% of Texas power, and it only accounted for 13% of last February’s power outages. Wind turbines in the north work perfectly in the winter because they are weatherized, but Texas didn’t do that. Five times as much power lost was from natural gas, as the gas lines froze due to—you guessed it—not being weatherized. Many coal plants and one of four nuclear plants were also down during that time.

  4. After last year's calamity you'd think they would have been prepared by now but nope. This is just a regular snowy weather, nothing extreme to point fingers at, if anything it's leadership fault if they aren't prepared by now.

  5. Where's salt and sand!? Texas has the money to do it. They didn't. She is wrong . They didn't respond to the issues. Abbott does not care.

  6. AGAIN…. They Have the same Dicks running their state and they let THEM.. . They don't gave ANY electricity again this year and we're supposed to feel bad for THEM…
Your the ANT and the Grass hopper story from Aesopes Fables… The rest of the country worked on these PROBLEMS in our STATES…and what did YOU DO?…. So have you got ENOUGH Hay for your cattle or are we going to have to supply that for you again TOO…..
