The Supreme Court claimed that women had a right to medical privacy in terms of abortion, but only until the baby became “viable.” Certain limitations could be applied by the states during the second and third trimester. McCorvey wanted completely unrestricted abortion all the way up to the moment of birth. The court decided that was a bit too much bloodlust.
