Damn medias…. It wasn't a CROSS COUNTRY flight. Always adding drama just to get more sensational…
She looks 26 and 16 at the same time.
Props to John who is obviously a wonderful CFI
Well same thing happens to vehicles when we get maintenance done they don’t always leave it right
The big difference here is that if a tire comes apart from a vehicle ðŸš go to a shoulder and get the spare tire on
On a plane ✈︠you lose tire you can’t pull over and get spare tire in you have more risks
i know this means nothing, but anyone notice the coincidences of the dates? The date of this report was Sept 11 2018 which is exactly 17 years (her age) to the day of that tragic day of Sept 11, 2001………. She is………..is……… "THE ONE"…… Anyway, good job Maggie.
Incredible flying by Maggie! Even more amazing is how bad the reporting is by ABC News! First solo cross country flight? Nope. She has several solo flights under her belt. Is Massachusetts to Maine cross county? Nope. Time for a geography lesson? Yep. But this is pretty normal for ABC. I'm pretty sure their reporters have never been to an airport, and never seen a plane.
You cant join air force and fly.. need an appointment to air force academy and graduate with degree usually in aerospace engineering with a high gpa. Most cadets trying to qualify for undergraduate pilot training have their privare pilots license before their sophomore year at the academy..hope maggie applies to usafa.. shes on the right track..and seems to have the right stuff !
now the air force will hire her!!
I'm glad the FAA makes the requirements on what it takes to earn a PPL. This young lady deserves kudos for using the training she received to safely bring her self back to the ground and not cause harm to others. Kudos to the instructor as well for teaching her what she needed to know before her solo flights to manage the situation.
You know Massachusetts to Maine isn't cross country. It's only 250 miles.
I don't even trust teenagers driving a car…
Well done Maggie, and the support team!
Maggie did great but the best teen pilot award goes to the barefoot bandit himself. Colton Harris Moore.
