For those who never heard about Hmong people, they can watch the film "Gran Torino" (2008) by and with Clint Eastwood. I knew a Vietnamese guy who didn't like Clint Eastwood making a film about Hmong people and now he surely can't stand Suni Lee ! His reaction was definitely jealousy.
I'm so proud of her ! What an achievement at 18 ! She did what I've always heard since we arrived to Europe (France) : make the most and take the best of what the new country has to offer to you to integrate, study and go to university, find a job etc. Congratulations Suni Lee ! Hmong Lee woman from Swizerland.
🥰🥰ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ
Refugee from a little communist country and now represent the powerful country in the world is not easy. I'm impressed she pull it thru. It's like do or die now or never.
Popular Hmong person before sunisa lee, me tou yang.
Hehe….😄
Suni Lee, you make red, white, and blue look more AMAZING. As a Hmong American veteran, I salute you. You epitomize everything American, Asian, and Hmong. You go girl! 2024.
This is what makes me proud to be Hmong. Especially having Suni Lee as the perfect example. We might not be perfect but we can make a big impact to the world. So proud of Suni Lee, keep up the spirit.ðŸ˜ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ
Hmong Lives Matters!!!
Lost 3 uncle's during the Vietnam war. They were all shot dead by viet-cong trying their best to rescue down American pilot. All were under 17yrs old n were recruited by the Vang Pao N C.I.A
Thank you for covering this.
Hmong children’s can now say to our parents that we don’t have to chase the common stereotype careers. We can compete with the world 🌠if we choose too.
⤠Sunisa Lee!!! So proud of you!
Hi congratulations sunisa we love you so much sunisa
the best gymnast of the moment. I hope she doesn't relax because I saw the Tokyo gymnastics to see her and I want to see her win in Paris.
Jerry Yang..World Series of Poker winner
There's more than one person that I can name that is a great Hmong person. It's General Vang Pao (GVP). Before Sunisa Lee became a true champion a Hmong daughter. GVP- is like a father, leader, model, and great general that fought many war & survive well known in Hmong history and well like by its people. We Hmong have 2 great one. GVP in the past and now Sunisa Lee.
Dumb a88, you don’t know any of our leaders, like General Vang Pao.
Is Hmong originally from China or Thailand?
Brenda Song is part Hmong but only spoke about being Hmong but never really speaks about the Hmong community. She is really disconnected with her culture, It’s really quite sad.
And then there’s Doua Moua who got his first big break in the new Disney live action movie Mulan, he represents us well and always so proud of where he came from and often talks a lot about the Hmong community.
There’s also famous YouTube star, HeyitsFeiii, she’s Hmong too but she has her reasons why she never really spoke about our community because in our community there’s a stigma of being raised by a single parent or having step parents in the family. And she spoke about the struggles of often being labeled as an “orphan†among her Hmong people.
And now Suni Lee, a gold medalist and proud of her Hmong Heritage.
Grand Torino taught me about the Hmong people.
Some Hmong people live in Laos.
As a Hmong American, I am even more prouder! You go, Suni Lee!! The fact that she came from a refugee family, raised to be humble, and got to where she is now is so amazing. She’s what everyone should strive for no matter who you are. Now… we need more Hmong representation up there. It could be in big events like the Olympics. Sports. Business. Filmmaking. Acting. Music. Ect. Be GREAT at what you do. Hone in your craft. But most of all, be humble and classy no matter the status you’re in.
I'm Hmong Laos, Hmong Thai, Hmong French and now Hmong American. let me tell you, Sunisa Lee is a truly 99.99 % American Asian, root Hmong. She belong to USA. I love America. The land of Free
Being an Asian American myself, I had no idea who the Hmong people were. Suni has definitely brought awareness to the Hmong people and their tragic history. Not every Asian American is from a lavish family with rich uncles and generations of wealth. So proud of Suni–young yet mature and humble. A lot of spotlight is going to be on her moving forward now that she's a world champion and a Gold medal Olympian. With fame comes increased criticism as expectations for her are permanently set higher. I hope she won't let this stress her out and can enjoy life!
Great story! This forgotten group did not ask for retribution or handout. These are hard-working Americans who made contributions to this Country. So glad to hear their voices and see their proud daughter Suni shine!
WE LOVE YOU Sunisa!!!â¤ï¸ÂÂ

Yes Sunisa Lee story is My story.
Brenda Song is also Hmong American!!! she just didnt embrace it as much as Suni
So awesome. Beautiful community. Congratulations~
Sunisa ðŸ˜ÂÂðŸ˜ÂÂðŸ˜ÂÂ
She (Padee Yang) can't name any famous Hmong other than Sunisa Lee? Maybe she's not doing her research to her ethnicity properly. I'm not a Hmong but even I can name one famous Hmong other than Sunisa Lee. What about Ahney Her?? She's a Hmong. She's famous.
Great story! â¤ï¸ÂÂ
So PROUD of her
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU. SO BEAUTIFULLY AND AMAZING.

Wow😯😯😯😯😯
Good to have our story heard.. tx..
Very sad story of how we fight for our lives to get here. We lost our dads, our brothers back in the Vientiane war. We have to hide our self from the Vietnamese and the jungle.
Suni Lee

The bubble prevention that the Japanese government promised is not working.
The number of new Corona 19 confirmed in Tokyo, where the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are underway, has exceeded 5,000.
According to NHK, a Japanese public broadcaster, Tokyo said on May 5, the number of new confirmed Korona is 5024.
The organization said that 31 new confirmed Olympic-related players were involved in the event, which resulted in a total of 353 people in the competition, which was confirmed by Corona 19.
Again, the world's eyes The Japanese government is concerned about the poor measures to prevent the disease
Not only does Sunisa lead the way for us Hmongs, she is an inspiration to many many other minority groups in this country and the world.
There are other Hmong from China, Thailand, Lao, France, Australia, Vietnam and many more,
