If your testing your skills within an environment where achievement is harder to come by (due to higher competition found across a broad range of teams), surely your value as an professional athlete is financially worth more. Perhaps there should instead be an equal base salary for men and women with scope to tack on a scaled bonus rate depending on the level of achievement attained comparative to the level of competition.
