  1. I can totally relate to resentment and stereotypes of movies where minorities are played by whites but comedy is another animal altogether. I loved Austin Powers movies ,but when i worked in NYC with Asian women from 5 different countries, I didn’t push that stereotype on them. They were my coworkers and friends. I dont understand being mean to people because they dont look like me.

  3. This video raises an interesting point about what characters in movies tell to audiences about the actors portraying them. I can see that getting the right role may not be possible, and the role may still be worth doing to break into, as James Hong did.
    I still think that it's a shame to cast a big Hollywood star for a role when they really don't fit the character. We can easily see how getting the right actor to play is as important as the right script, as in Everything All the Time.
