Credit Acceptance, one of the country’s largest subprime car lenders, specializes in loans to people with tarnished credit. With nearly $2 billion in revenue last year, the company’s shares soared during the pandemic. Now Credit Acceptance is being accused of predatory lending practices. A company spokeswoman told NBC News it intends to defend itself vigorously in court.

If people would pay their bills on time they wouldn't need subprime auto loans. Avoid all the drama by handling your responsibilities
I'm also a victim of Credit Acceptance.
I’m going through it right now 9525 /paid 7000 down 28% interest 13,669 auto loan now I’m stuck with 27k to payback that’s 13k twice I need help
I bought a new car a few days ago, then these guys call and said they didn’t believe my income despite pay stubs and they called back today to tell me they un financed my loan lol like wtf, I didn’t even know they financed me. I already proved my income, the lady was literally screaming at me on the phone about wanting all my past pay stubs like wtf? Looks like I dodged a bullet, I don’t wana finance anything with these idiots, I’ll gladly give the car back.
This is what's killing the American People.
I’m battling them right now your not alone sister they gave me a 2012 vehicle for the price of a new vehicle, none of the payments were helping my credit. Score it actually dropped my credit score down to 400s and they expected me to pay almost $500.00 for my note when I asked them if we can break it up into two week payments they told me no and that it would make me late on my monthly payment 🤷ðŸÂ½â€ÂÂ♂︠, I started to feel like I was being used for my hardworking cash just to be harassed, this company customer service is horrible , there’s they served me papers on a Sunday and for a balance well under $8,000 an expect me to pay it
I am a victim of CAC. I didn’t exactly realize what they had done until today. I don’t want money. I just want them to remove the account and take it off my credit.
They said the same thing to me. Took my car
Yeah I'm a victim of Credit Acceptance as they charged me $11,000 interest on a $5,000 car.
There crooks like Santander same tactics
"INDEED THIS IS PLANNING TO BUILD YOUR CASTLE ON PEOPLES GRAVE"
Car dealers are like shady business people
Keep the lawsuits coming until they defend themselves into bankruptcy.
Most people do not understand how PREDATORY LOANS WORK….including those that speak English as a second language. Consumers pay up to FOUR times the value of the same vehicle that I could pay cash. A $10,000 car becomes $40,000 due to all the fees and damage created by this type of loan. Our company, HonestCarPayment.com specializes in creating a transparent car loan from the start. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmgXwI3LXekHlXUNZ4hnNAg/videos
In the end, ask the dealership how much they are inflating the purchase price above the KBB to satisfy the lender? It is not unusual to see 200%!
Where there is one there are many.
Here in the Niagara Peninsula, last summer I got a few easy car loan advertisements in the mail.
I’m glad I paid them off within 4 or 5 months they definitely have crazy interest rates
The Predatory creditors are feasting on Covid. Beware of them. The scam is on.
