    wheel and not in self driving mode. Steering input overides the assistance. Dont blame autopilot when you werent even looking and moving the steering wheel with your hip/stomach so you can check your dog didnt shit himself

26. The technology is amazing and encourages the driver to play with it. My son has a new Tesla and it parks itself. You can even summon it and have it drive itself to you. In auto assist, it can steer itself which my son demonstrated on a highway that has curves. I keep telling him not to rely completely on the technology but I think he’ll do it anyway because he thinks if it hasn’t made a mistake in the past then it won’t make one in the future. These Tesla crashes should be widely publicized, not to trash Tesla but because it might help me save the life of my son.

27. Typical Fud news, the driver was totally at fault he is 100% responsible for the car when in auto pilot. The driver is the fail safe, auto pilot is not hands free and not attention free. So why say Tesla is once again under fire? This driver should and probably will be charged and NOT Tesla, end of story.

30. Tesla should put some sensors on the steering wheel that disables the auto pilot system when the drivers hands are not on the steering wheel .

31. Its not legal to self drive yet thats why they have to have the hands on the wheel rule and plus a couple crashes compared to thousands of human caused crashes every day you chose
