Experts worry that the Russian oil ban, on top of steep inflation, will drive up already high prices. Costs from food to rent have already increased 7.5% from last year.

  1. It's not the Russian sanctions, the crisis was about to happen anyway. It's currently affecting all countries in the world

  2. reduce demand! give people the power to say no to exploiting bosses and stay home! end unnecessary office jobs that can be done from home! no more forced labor! no more evictions from primary residences!

  3. In 2019, the U.S. produced 12.29 million barrels of crude oil per day, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. That figure was 11.28 million in 2020 and is estimated to be 11.18 million in 2021

    Let’s go Biden

  4. Black people in particular voted for this. Democrats suck axx. Biden and Kamala is protecting everyone except Native Black Americans who account for a majority of the homeless, incarcerated, unemployed, etc. Yet Black ppl never heard Biden nor Kamala ever mention these categories when running for president. If Black Americans understood politics at all they would have predicted this outcome based on the policies Dems ran on. Every policy they ran on further widens the racial wealth gap while ensuring Native Black Americans remain a permanent underclass in their own country – literally

  5. I suppose Biden could blame Putin now that the Trump and covid excuses don't work any more. Don't expect Biden to take any responsibility. That's not his job.

  6. I wouldn't mind these immediate effects of higher costs in the US if they had immediate impact on dissuading Putin to continue the war. But, this is obviously not the case. How long will it take until Putin can no longer finance his war? This is absurd. Either go all in and defeat Putin or not at all and leave the American economy alone.

  7. Why did Russia started this war for? now China going to take over Russia because all companies boycott them there is no escape from world war 3

  8. Maybe this is an eyeopener for Americans as they will dump their big gas guzzling SUVs in the coming days and will try to get more fuel efficient hatchback cars or lower CC motorcycles.

  9. I am Russian. Today average price for 92 octane petroleum is 48 rubbles(0,5$) for 1 litre and 51 rubbles (0,6$) for 95 octane petroleum for 1 litre. I use gas for house heating and pay about 20-30 $ per month in winter, in summer it’s about 5$ for different house needs. Prices in US and EU are just incredible ;(

  10. The price of freedom, people. You get to sleep soundly at night without having to worry about a bomb killing you, your neighbors, or your family. I’m happy paying a little more for that peace of mind
