Police seeking man seen on video pummeling ride-share driver

1. Junkies are the worst humans on earth. Entitled, self absorbed, lying, dangerous, stealing zombies. They were probably good people at one time, but once they become this, just push them off the bridge. Useless and dangerous.

9. EXACTLY. There is a reason that emergency medics 911 was not accessed. This was not appropriate for a Lyft transport. Changes should be implemented to protect these drivers. That passenger was high on something. That mom, whatever the relationship, is an enabler.

25. Gosh! If they wanted to get to the hospital in such a hurry, they should have called an ambulance. I feel bad for the driver. He did a great job to pull off safely while getting bashed. It would be interesting to see the charges laid on the attacker. A lot could have gone wrong here. He put many people's lives in danger, not just the passengers of the car.

33. Not excusing what this guy did, but to those saying he should've called an ambulance, it is quicker to call an Uber in NYC. There are not enough ambulances for the amount of people and traffic is congested and people can't/don't move out of the way for them anyway. You get an Uber ordered and someone is right around the corner and can be there in a lot less time.

35. He should be banned from all shofer platforms. Including the taxi cab company, maybe even the bus. Those things are a privilege to be able to partake in. This is absolutely disgusting. He could have crashed and all 3 could have died. Imagine had this been a female, an elderly, or a handicapped. This could have been extremely worse. Thank God the driver handled the situation the way he did and made it out with his life.
