They are well trained in dealing with bits of the aircraft falling off??? 🤣🤣🤣
Gear: Adios
I saw this on tiktok that’s why I clicked on it
Cause Chinese wheel bearing be me guess.
The cause of this failure is the wheel bearing letting go. At minimum its a new tire worst case a entirely new landing gear assembly!
Why do we have to have a bunch of morons from ABC edit the full video? This is why no one watches you fucking idiots at 'old media' anymore.
Why did they need to go back?
Canadians fly their planes till the wheels fall off.
The news really acts like it's serious situation and people could of died
On the other hand, If pilots would have to choose one part to loose from the aircraft during take off they might choose that one tire. Not so many other parts to choose from that whont affect the planes flight ability in the air. However,if the heat on the axle from the burning wheel bearing would have been enough to start a fire inside the wing once retracted it could have gone from a minor problem to a full blown disaster, like Air Nigeria flight 2120, can't get much worse than that.
Dumping fuel? Lmao. Not on that aircraft. They are trying to sound smart.
Shouldn't they have checked this beforehand?
They fucking shitted themselves and thought the wheels would make the plane explode mid air
LOL!!! I worked on that plane many years ago. Looks like bearing failure. Not enough greased packed into the bearing…bearing heated up and disintegrated. Ripped the axle nut right apart. When I used to work at Air Jazz we'd replace bearings at it's percieved half life with a fresh new clean set. If they stopped doing that they may be considering going back to that maintenance schedule.
Also, a Dash-8-300 cannot dump fuel at all. News report is incorrect. So this plane would have also suffered from a "heavy landing". An additional special inspection will be required for this plane before it can return to service.
"It twisted off the axle" As it shows the axle nut still completly intact.
Sabotage by hidden theorists as maintenance crew. ???
I was on that flight
@SteveHofstetter is canada air's Best customer. @Canadaair
Where did they dump the fuel?
Hell naw
Might as well have just flown to his destination and then done the same thing.
PILOT : GEAR UP …
CO-PILOT : WE DONT HAVE ANY, WE LEFT IT ON RUNWAY
PILOT : HOLD MY BEER : .
PASSENGER :
ME : Ohhhh
I saw that from TikTok!😧
Faulty bearing or someone forgot to grease the hub and didnt torque the retaining nut.
That tire was like I have to sit by this other tire I don't want to do that I'm sorry peace
Nice to see 3 hours before a flight 🙂
Let me just put on the spare tire real quick while we're going and we're good
This dude really said "…That's why we have two" lmao
Wheel bearing failed
Reminds me of Kenny Rogers Song "You Picked a Fine Time To Leave Me Loose Wheel"
Who are the mechanics?
Tire must have thought a Muslim was on the plane lol
Someone forgot to tighten the strut wheelbearing nut, dont forget your T.O's
Must be an old aircraft , dump them all and keep passengers safe .
That's why they have two so if one comes off you can still land. Not really a big deal.

Mona 🙂
That tire wasn’t in-tuned with the speed of the aircraft.
Where do they dump fuel into?
Why is this even news, the Canadians have lost their minds by electing liberals ,so what's the big deal of a wheel?
But that why we have a second wheel? I thought you just said that something like this never happens? Ooooookay
That's just lack off maintenance…airlines force mechanics to skip maintenance to keep the plane off the ground…planes that are on the ground for longer periods off time are loosing money
Thank the well-trained pilots for their expertise in bringing that airplane safely back on the ground.
