To be told to have your child pretend to have a learning disability just so he/she could get extra time to take the ACT or SAT abuses the system of accommodations that are in place for students who actually have disabilities. Once this system is abused enough, even students with documented disabilities would be unable to receive the accommodations that they should have access to. I know this because I'm a college student majoring in graphic design at a community college and I have cerebral palsy and ADHD.
