It won't take long before the Omicron variant takes over as it is very easily transmitted. However, based upon the existing data in from South Africa, United Kingdom, we are seeing that those infected with Omicron are FAR LESS likely to need hospitalization and if they are hospitalized, the majority with Omicron are being admitted for other reasons than simple Omicron infection. At the end of the day, Omicron may actually be what ends this Pandemic. It needs to be allowed to take over from Delta and the deaths will drop like a rock. Most of the people who are infected with Omicron are able to weather the symptoms at home in 5 days. The media like ABC and others are using their megaphone to scare the daylights out of the population.
