9. As athletes compete under the duress of Covid, I'm really sorry to say that I cringe every time I see an athlete from China – as that's the country that has put us in this situation.

20. I feel bad for the athletes. Imagine devoting years of your life training to make an Olympics that has no fans in the stands and very little social interaction. A city in lockdown. No partying. None of the famous after-event libertine sex (😭). Oh, and in a country that can't wait for you to leave. If you only go once it's like you never really went. That's gotta SUCK.
