Don't give me that "can't afford it nonsense…" They can afford to live in a nice beach resort town, can afford TATTOOS, can afford tanning products, can afford a car, yet can't afford to spend a few days in a motel?

11. Even if you don't evacuate, you PREPARE, and you're ready with your most valuable items. We do this every time there's a big fire in the area (I'm in California). And we don't wait for mandatory evacuation notices — getting out at that point is iffy, as there's a big rush to get out.

28. people riding out the storm due to not having anywhere else to go isn't the best option. in fact the storm doesn't care if your home IS the only place to go without sleeping inside your vehicle or some other place (or place with no roof). you can pray that you dont lose your home & such but in reality its really one of three things:

    -Lose everything including your life.
    -Lose everything but live to see another day.
    -Lose everything and have others risk their live for yours.

29. FEMA told these people to evacuate and they would help them evacuate ahead of time. Why would they choose to ride it out and place these poor emergency workers who have families in danger is beyond me.
