Looming eviction crisis in America

1. Mom and pop landlords?

   You mean citizens trying to make a living by simply owning something? How dare they not be able to make money by doing nothing?

2. This is everyone's reality if your not living it your seeing it. There is no such thing as security in life anymore. Our life's can change at any time. Many people rent and moving in with someone has to also be approved by landlord and usually the rent increases and apts only have so much space. Open your eyes and hearts and help in any way you can. Pray none stop and be grateful for what resources you do have. Gods love, your Health, family, friends, compassion, commen sence. When you've done everything right and everything goes wrong there's only one answer. Pray give it to god and keep your faith for him to make any situation better.

4. Wow she may have payed off the mortgage for the landlord, if she lived in the house for 10 years paying rent she payed off the mortgage but because she payed rent she is not the owner

Good I got lost of money waiting for . housing to hit rock bottom so I can buy a few.people will pay all this crazy high rent & mortgage.the only way things going to get cheaper is for the market to out price it self . As long as people can pay there pay throw the nose now that millions can't pay.& Going to be homeless for a while good let millions of apt & House's set empty for a few years.i bet Price's will start coming down.so if you know u can't pay rent move out don't get that eviction on your record.hey if millions of people liven on the streets it will become more normal.& After a year are so landlord will start hurting & drop there Price's.& Don't except there Price's if there's asking for 800 a month tell them no but you give them 600.but it's only going to work if millions do this .but if people still break weak & pay whatever the landlord s.ask .it not going to work. & If you still looking for. The government & state to save you lol 😂🤣😂 lol 😂🤣. Hey there's a empty bench over there lol 😂🤣😂.

   Corporations making billions but their employees are earning $8-10 an hr
   Keeping folks in debt and on shoe strings makes us all serfs

13. When I lost my job in 2005 my unemployment benefits payed my mortgage and utilities and put food on the table.where ever the place this people lives and unemployment benefits was not enough to pay rent must be living in hell

My tenant refuse to pay rent, an she refuse to allow me to inspect my property, I was trying to sale the 5 bedroom house, she have 9 people residing in to my property, I call the policemen to assistance me to inter the property, to no avail, this will keep me from clear of harassment, I tried to sale the house my self, she remove the sale sign three time, I just have to wait on the eviction ban are lifted, she are the most arrogance, conniving , person I have ever met

23. They've been ordering people to house other people for free until they're bankrupted.
    Eventually all these small/middle class landlords are going to drop out/sell, and all the nation's rental property will end up in the hands of big banks and a few billionaires.
    Worst thought out plan, ever. Or best, depending on who is looking at it…..

26. Cancel rent? How delusional! House owners also have to pay expenses and usually have to follow strict financing plans with monthly installments. It's not up to them to stop the rents but to the banks and money institutes or politicians to react to the crisis. Otherwise a lot of home owners will just join the rest of the people on the street with the banks repossessing houses. Nothing gained from that but more folks out on their own.

WHY WONT YOU PROVIDE HOUSING FOR THOSE THAT ARE HOMELESS NOW, FORGET ABOUT HOUSING LISTS THAT ARE SO FULL THEY HAVE DECADE LONG WAITING, LETS GET RID OF ALL IF THIS BY BEING ABLE TO BUILD HOUSING!!! LET US CITIZENS OF THE USA HELP EACH OTHER TO BUILD THEM SO WE ALL WILL HAVE A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOMES!!!! THISd IS A DISASTER LIKE NO OTHER THAT WILL AFFECT ALL THATS LIVING AND GENERATIONS TO COME, WE HAVE TO SEE THAT AMERICANS STUCK TOGETHER AND HELPED ONE ANOTHER TO BUILD THEIR HOMES AND EVEN SCHOOLS AND DAYCARES AND CREATED PROGRAMS AND HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS WITH PEOPLE WHO TRULY LOVE TO HELP PEOPLE TO HELP ONE ANOTHER SO THAT WE CAN RISE ABOVE THESE ASHES AND MOVE ON TO VICTORY!!!!
