Would that we could see just one more "This Week with David Brinkley" and listen as Cokie, David, Sam Donaldson, and George Will gave their respective commentaries on this election.
Very Very…..Very, CLASSY LADY!
She always had that Executive ora about her. One could always trust her Knowledge!
My condolences to her family. I admired Cookie Roberts and thought her news reports were exceptional.
God bless her and family.
She was so sweet ðŸ˜ÂÂI can't believe she's dead.
I remeber saying don't let the 2016 election be the last one she reports on, and it was! RIP
Just so very sad. Deeply missed.
Great person. Big fan RIP
A pioneer for women, and great friend to all. Rest in peace Cokie.
I swear I can hear George trying so hard to hold back his tears.
BUH BYE. HOPE YOUR BASKET WAS WEAVED. ONE MORE U.S. TRAITOR GOES TO HELL.
As a fellow cancer survivor, my condolences to her family. I do not wish that disease on anyone. As for her, she was a chauvinistic feminist and misandrist. She viewed men as lesser beings and was very condescending and clearly conveyed to the men she interviewed that they owed her explanation because she was a woman and they were men. Her professional "achievements" were founded on the the fact that she was a product of the "to the manner born" element of the American version of royalty. After all, her father was Hale Boggs. LBJ attended her wedding, and so forth.
I'm so sad for her passing. I've heard her on NPR as recently as a few weeks ago, I believe? I remember her reporting on the news back in the 80's. She was a truly classy woman, and the best at what she did. She was a very intelligent, comfortable voice that didn't take any shit, either!
Umm politicians should not be called a family business That is what’s wrong with politics
Thank you, Cokie Robert's for many good years of News
Reporting. You were the best. RIP.
Condolences to your family & ABC family.
Cokie Roberts implied that Sister Dianna Ortiz, a Catholic nun from New Mexico, who was abducted, raped and tortured by members of a Guatemalan government-backed death squad, was lying about the entire episode.
One word: a Lady!
Rest & peace
Went to barnes and noble at union square today to get her book and it was already sold out.. Such an amazing lady!!
I adore Cokie. I’ve met her several times, so smart!

ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ»RIP Cokie RobertðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ»
Sad, god bless her family during this time of sorrow
A very distinguished journalist. Always prepared and professional. A part of my news life for decades. She will be missed in the coverage of the 2020 election as a voice of reason.
…a legend, for sure. Cokie insights….seeing through to the core questions. Wondeeerful to hear Sam Donaldson's voice again…and George Stephanopoulos' info. on recent contacts with her. Rest in Peace. Strong legacy….she will be missed.
Some have questioned Roberts' objectivity as a journalist. While working in Guatemala in 1989 helping poor indigenous Guatemalans learn how to read, Sister Dianna Ortiz, a Catholic nun from New Mexico, was abducted, raped and tortured by members of a government-backed death squad, who believed she was a subversive. During a subsequent interview, Roberts contested Ortiz's claim that an American was among her captors. (The United States provided significant military aid to Guatemala at the time.) Roberts implied that Ortiz was lying about the entire episode, although Ortiz later won a lawsuit against a Guatemalan general she accused in the case. It was later revealed that Roberts' brother Tom Boggs' law firm, Patton Boggs, was paid by the Guatemalan government to promote a more positive image of the regime, which was widely criticized internationally for human rights abuses. Coupled with her treatment of Ortiz, Roberts's personal connection to a paid lobbyist for the Guatemalan government raised questions about her ability to report on the matter accurately.
We love you Cokie, Thanks for the many years of great journalism
Always loved her~
I started watching her when I was in college. That was 1982. My heart is actually broken. She possessed remarkable political acumen and always displayed more dignity and class than her elected subjects. Such a loss.
I'm about to cry I loved her a great journalist. R.I.P Cokie
Too bad she had to end her career with such a Dark company like ABC and Disney!
Wow… I have many fond memories of her from NPR and ABC. She was a brilliant journalist. I am thankful of her contributions.😇ðŸ˜ÂÂ
