Disgusting freaks
How was he raped by the coach? He’s a strong fit hockey player. No way a coach could physically pin him down and rape him. They had sex
This is a proof that #metoo is for all genders. I hope more people will be able to speak up regarding this behavior and that the people that attacked females for not coming forward before several years have passed during the huge #metoo movement, get a larger understanding and learn that people that have this type of experience did not get support they needed earlier.
Read the report folks.
Kyle Beach was 6’3†and 220 pounds and trained to kick ass. Brad Aldrich: 5’5†and under 150. So let's quit saying he was "assaulted".
Beach also originally denied that there was a woman in the apartment on the night of the event. He later was forced to admit that she was there and that all three of them were naked. When she decided to leave, (before any sexual activity between Beach and Aldrich occurred), then got dressed and left (probably took around 5-10 minutes) Beach and Aldrich were still nude. Why didn’t he get dressed if the only female was leaving?
On the same day that the Blackhawks became aware of the incident, (March 23, 2010) they dispatched Jim Gary, a licensed clinical counselor, to speak with Beach. According to Gary, Beach told him that Aldrich has pressured him to have sex but DENIED that anything physical occurred.
Gary immediately took this information to management, and that same day a meeting was held with John McDonough (Blackhawks President), Jay Blunt, Stan Bowman (General Manager), Jim Gary, Al MacIsaac and Kevin Cheveldayoff. After the meeting had been started, John McDonough summoned Joel Quennville (Head Hockey Coach) to attend.
Despite what Gary Bettman and numerous media big mouths like Kevin Weeks have stated, no agreement/decision was made at this meeting to delay an investigation. Rather, McDonough, as president, stated that he would handle it. This effectively foreclosed any other person in the organization from doing anything. It also left the others completely in the dark as to how any investigation was proceeding.
It is worth noting that at this point, nobody in the Blackhawks organization had any actual knowledge that a crime had occurred. (And perhaps no crime ever did occur.) This means that the organization had no legal right to contact the Chicago Police Department or other law-enforcement agency. They could only encourage Mr. Beach to file a report himself. (Something he never did.)
Approximately two weeks later McDonough reported what he knew to the Blackhawks HR Department. No formal investigation was ever commenced, and McDonough never followed up about one.
So it appears Mr. McDonough was late and derelict in his duties. But none of the other employees who were in the meeting had any cause or any right to go over the head of the most senior executive of the company to initiate an investigation; or question the status of any investigation being performed. (Especially since, as mentioned above, Gary had reported to them that Beach had denied that any physical activity had occurred.)
Jerks like Brent Sopel and Nick Boynton have criticized players like Jonathon Toews and Patrick Kane (who were 21 years old at the time), saying they knew about the incident and should have stepped forward. Well…Sopel and Boynton were right there, with presumably the same knowledge, and did NOTHING.
They should be made pay victims they are with a billion dollars not far there at fault for negligence better settle instead of drag out.
MAY more of the PLAYERS COME FORWARD.
To be fair, he's a first round bust. This isn't an uncommon practice by bust players.
Every single person within this organization that knew of the allegations and did nothing should be banned by the NHL – and on down to minor hockey – from ever working again. Disgusting isn't a strong enough word. And if teammates knew and used homophobic slurs, they ought to feel incredible shame. From owners to GM to other staff who ignored this: THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVILS. You're not winners, you're cowardly, heartless and greedy.
That is absolutely terrible
Thank you Susan Longines for representing Kyle Beach.
I believe Kyle Beach! I loved the Hawks and Coach Q, not now. Chicagoan, Hawks Fan, Born in 64 waited on that Cup forever. Hell no, not with a sacrifice like that and then the boy in Michigan. Go Kyle Beach, you're totally worth it.
pink men at their usual.
I'm going to have an unpopular opinion and the coach is a creep he went after kids….but at 21 years old to allow someone to do that to you is a problem for me….I read the report beach went back to his apartment a second time after a first strange encounter….and the other player aka black ace 1 in the report laughed the creep coach off and didn't allow him to do anything to him…its fishy to me beach was double his size and went back a second time….there's something wrong with that
Where's the proof……. And why now. Those are the 2 biggest questions that should be asked. If you can't prove it and you have no other reason other than fame to come forward 11 years later something aint right.
How did he rape him
💥💥 how was this guy rape by that video coach? this hockey player is 6'3 205 pounds I have hard time believing that some little assistant coach could make him do some sexual stuff to him.
As the 11th pick in the draft he was an absolute bust so as long as he gets a pocket full of money
jonathan “toes
I don't mean any disrespect. But hockey players are pretty ferocious fighters. When I first heard the story I was honestly curious how a hockey player would be assaulted sexually. These guys are really Tough and they will knock your teeth out. I'm honestly surprised that he didn't beat the crap out of this guy when he was assaulted.
What about all the players that knew and made fun of him?
No dude would willingly make this up i believe him 100%
Serious topic but Susan Loggans??? She’s just an ambulance chaser…well known for that. Be interesting to see the outcome.
The management’s reaction is exactly why victims don’t report abuse. Not only was Kyle dismissed by officials but he was re-traumatized when teammates mocked him with homophobic slurs.
Of course they would say that. Its sad. Of course money will let evil take over.
I hope the NHL gives the fine money to Kyle Beach!
09:00 <3 goes out to the guy, who has the balls to call Kyle!!!! GREAT MOVE, EVEN IF TO LATE, NO MATTER!!! DO SOMETHING, AT LEAST NOW!!!!
He is a brave young man.
