GOOD MORNING AMERICA’S HOMEPAGE:
https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/
Shame robbing maximum security of win. This horse prove them wrong and laughing, winning the saudi gold cup plus 10m u.s.dollars.
After working on the track for 30 plus years I have seen many races like that and I thought watching it live that he had to come down. A friend and I were watching it in the barn as they turned for home I was up and screaming at the tv . And for the twenty minutes I was sure that they would not do the right thing. Because of the history of the Derby and all that goes with it. If you remember the Alysheba Derby when Bet Twice almost knocked him down not once but Twice . I wonder had Alysheba not won if they would have had a Dq
The ruling was wrong but the right call
Maybe don’t have 20+ horses running in the derby when you know it’s not safe. Especially when the track is as muddy as it was. Churchill Downs is lucky no one, and none of the horses were injured, because the conditions itself could’ve injured both jockey and horse
I THINK STEWARD BET FOR OTHER HORSE NOT MAXIMUM SECURITY THAT WHY DECISION DISQUALIFIED MS
Maximum secury i think won the kentucky derby fucking decision steward
Bunch of bullshit ! MAX WON POINT BLANK
F you bite me shitty call
#JusticeforMaximum
good morning Sirs/ Mam … the mere fact that somebody has complained regarding the outcome of the race, then the stewards are bound to inquired to what happened, no intention at all I think its the right word for it happens in a blink of an eye … these horses and jockeys are truly champion regardless of what happened for it will be in the memories of racing aficionados around the world … thanks and happy racing
The front heels? 😒
New Orleans Saints wish they had those stewards as refs at NFC championship
Country house guy racing racing dq no win.
Maximum security won !
It was a huge field of horses, I bet next year the field of horses will be smaller. When Secretariat won the Belmont in 1977 there were only 7 horses
This jockey is a cry baby little punk.
Actually he was correctly disqualified under the rules of racing
The horse owner and jockey should take legal action against the stewards.
ABC is such a freaking joke.
The damn thing was fixed. The establishment saw an opportunity to make money and capitalized. The Kentucky Derby is tarnished forever.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Who is this man who said Max was clipping the heels of a horse behind him. He's not clipping heels, he's running fast to win. This is what a horse looks like when they are running 40 miles per hr. It's the horse behind that clips heels with the horse in front, the rider behind Max rode right up his butt making contact, crossing legs with Max, and now his legs have abrasions. Jockeys are not allowed to ride into the back of another horse, just like a car isn't allowed to drive into the rear of another car. Extremely reckless riding. It was after this happened that Max left his path to save himself from the horse behind. Tyler Gaffalione should lose his license. What a set up and crooked race. Shame on you ABC.
Max did nothing wrong. 1 horse came behind Max, made contact, even getting his legs crossed with Max. I don't think Saez knew it because he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head. Max veered to the right after this happened to get away from the horse trying to kill him. Max is the hero, he probably saved himself and other horses and riders. The jockey on the 1 horse could see what he was doing, and if anyone watched the slow motion video it was obvious he was trying to take Max out. Tyler Gaffalione is the jockey of the 1 horse War of Will. He made contact with Max , right up to his rear end, the legs of his horse crossing with Max. Some saw him whip Max as well. Max has abrasions on his legs. Reckless riding, nearly running over Max. He should lose his license. No rider is supposed to aggressively contact a horse in front of them.
Maximum Security isn't even dirty in that picture?? He led the entire race
Mmmmmm 65-1 somebody made some money!!!!!
Shame forever flavient u not a jocey honestly u really liar
Lol payback a bitch Country horse not running in the perakness thank god
It is sort of interesting when non-experts first:
1. One requiring jockeys to "hold your horses" doesn't really describe the foul, but must have felt fun to say.
2. (5:42, George Stephanopoulos) Country House was NOT the longest shot to win the Kentucky Derby as Mr. George Stephanopoulos claims on national television. Donerail, the 1913 winner is the biggest long shot of any Derby winner: 91-1 at post time, providing a $184.90 payoff. Country House was the second longest shot (65-1), Mine that Bird the third (51.6 – 1). .
3. While I guess you can ask whether you think the interference was intentional, it wrongly suggests that it is part of the stewards inquiry.
4. Disqualifications have been said to not be super common–about once per month at any meet one jockey estimated–I wonder what the real statistics are.
FUN FACT: Donerail's sire, McGee, also sired 30-1 long shot KD winner Exterminator.
I saw the race and the jockey on the 1 horse from early in the race was holding is horse and coming up the strech he rode is horse up to leader then after he claims foul .that horse won the race making his best efforts. They should of never disqualified him he was the best horse in the race .that explains everything that happened in that race.THANK YOU. Blessings.
GIVE COUNTRY HOUSE SOME CREDIT! Country House came in second and that is why he was declared the winner upon the DQ. Whether you feel the DQ was a good call or bad call the fact remains that Country House still second and that makes him a fantastic horse. I think people blew it who did not have this horse in any of the top ten horses to possibly win!
why is the owner crying about 20 horses in the race, he knew that before the race, he could of not enter his horse , they been having large fields for 50 years now
Yes he a baby and they should of been separated at the gate better..Way to much closes to begin with.. they have always bunch them up at the gate..this is the problem ALWAYS
Stop bunching the horses up in the starting gate so they have more room to run… BECAUSE THIS IS BS.. PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Horseracing is animal abuse. It's a Money-Making-Horse-Killing-Industry. The human stupidity is infinitely. I'm so sorry for the horses.
Maxixmum Security is the winner, it will go down in history as such, , 65-1 thts not a winner
Country House had a near perfect trip and still couldn't beat Max who burst out with 22:1 and 46:3 fractions. After the brief incident, War of Will had the entire stretch to make an impact and he showed in the last 8th of a mile he was not going to pass Max to win the Derby. As America's best trainer (Bob Baffert) said, these incidents are part of huge Derby fields and it happened to him many times, but you "take your ass-kicking with a little dignity" and do not file an objection in the Kentucky Derby. Country House did not win or deserve the Ky Derby and I hope Bill Mott and the stewards are happy as you just alienated millons more from your already dying sport.
The Churchill stewards says 2 jockeys protested against the # 7,yet I only see the jockey of Country House and the jockey of Maximum Security being interviewed on the phone. Why did they not talk to Jon Court the rider of Long Range Toddy. The protest was always #20 against #7.
Christ! Looks like no jockey held their line! Why hold back the best horse!
It's a long-standing code of honor that no one ever calls an objection in the Derby. Well, at least it was in the past.
