  1. All this family needs is understanding..and this girl seems very sweet and bubbly ..her bio mom needs therapy in order to understand her daughter even if she loves her kidnapper love her anyway and thank God ur daughter is alive and well!!!

  2. Of course she still loves her “mom”, it’s the only mom she’s ever known…you can’t shut off love, especially of a woman who raised you lovenly for 18 years. Her biological mom should be grateful that her daughter was loved, and now she can build a relationship with her. It’s a horrible thing to happen but it could be worse.

  3. So the biological mother lost her daughter twice! And kamayiha lost her mother twice too. She now has no mother. What one selfish act can do.

  4. She didn't love that child sooo when you stole her. She had nothing to do with her. Had she not stolen her and fostered a relationship with her, she would not have a problem parting from her. I thought she lost a child herself once. Imagine having had done the work of carrying your child in your body with the expectation of holding and raising her and having that taken away by a self-serving person, just because that person "came across" your child. This would weigh on most people conscience, especially if they are church-going or christian. If your beliefs are real, this should have been weighing her down. Now the Godly thing to do would be to deny herself and empathize with the lost of the birth mother. Since she now personally understands the lost (to some degree), she needs to turn it around as empathy towards the birth mother. Apparently, she still has the loyalty of the child she stole so what is she crying for…going to jail or because the girl now knows the truth and the birth mother is trying to be in the picture?

  5. The only thing I can say, in the abductors defence, is that at least she did a good job of raising Kamiyah. Most missing childrens cases end up in murder or horrible abuse, and while the law can't go easy on her as it would set the precedent that child abduction is okay as long as you do a good job raising and caring for them, I'm just truly happy she's alive and doing well, not damaged or worse. Gonna be a hard few years going forward but they all seem like strong people. As far as I'm concerned, its a very strange, kinda happy ending. No wonder it got made into a movie.

  6. I can't imagine being the birth mother. Child abducted, attached to the kidnapper. Being forced to share the daughter with the birth mother when all you want to do is hurt her as much as she hurts you. I pray when she has her own children, she will understand and get closer to her mother.

  7. The way she suppresses and trying not to face or get in touch with her reality scares me … plus the anger she displayed … I just pray somebody is there and has the support system when it all kicks in cos it's going to be more than just cussing and rage going on inside of her

  8. I just wanna know how people do this for so long without getting caught. Like surely she had to take her to the doctor? Put her on her insurance? Enroll her in school? Stuff like this always baffles me.

  9. Alexis was very disrespectful towards iyanla however iyanla don’t know how to back up and let people be you caint force or trick any one into success or greater for themselves and that’s what iyanla was doing when she did not want to engage in a certain exercise, that’s that but also for what had happend and what it’s worth this young girl is a trooper she’s smart as a whip you can tell she got brains on her and let’s be honest she could have turned out worse because of this it could have became her excuse for drugs and many other bad decisions but it has not at least not yet so pat your self on the back young lady your young and your loved with some therapy for her and her bio mom she will be alright

  10. If the mother forgives the kidnapper, she will receive inner eyes to see how she can tackle the situation. She not manage the situation with hurt and hate blinding her. She should thank God she did find her whole and well and live today

  11. That girl is also a rude person. I see in her a pompous and disrespectful spirit. I think she's more into the attention that thinking logically. While the years of care must count she need to see the thief that Gloria is.

  12. I don’t understand why y’all keep coming for Kamiyah.Ofc the lady who kinapped Kamiyah is horrible one hundred percent but y’all have to understand Kamiyah built and emotional connection with this lady for most of her life You can’t just expect her to just snap out of that bond they’ve built. She was a young girl when she found out she doesn’t fully understand the pain her mother had to go through.

  13. The kidnapper spoiled her rotten intentionally, so she’d stay super attached to her. She did it for herself. Real mother wouldn’t do that, because she actually loves her children and cares about their future

  14. I’m surprised that people are as angry with the girl as they are. It’s going to be difficult to a race 18 years of knowing some thing as truth. Besides it’s often when we become mothers ourselves that we finally are able to understand our own mothers. I think when she holds her first baby she’ll have a better understanding of her biological mom

  15. The people that don't understand how Kamiyah can care about her abductor don't understand that she was the only mother figure in her life. She didn't harm her & raised her. Its a confusing situation for a child.

  16. She seem so unnecessary Nasty O.o I’m sure she has Family Member on Both sides, is Secretly saying and asking why is this Heifer being so NASTY to this Lady (Her Mom)

  17. I can't stand her❗👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

  18. I can't imagine the PAIN the real mother felt for SO long, BUT…she's being selfish. ALL that child knew was her loving mother, Gloria, so OF COURSE she's going to want to continue that relationship no matter what. Her real mother needs to be PATIENT with her, and it doesn't look like she's willing to do that.

  19. Everyone who feels bad for the birth mother obviously hasn't watched the episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life on this situation. The birth mother REACHED OUT to Iyanla for help and ended up not showing up for her daughter. I don't feel bad because that showed she didn't really care as much as an adult now than when she was 16 years old.

  20. That girl is real wrong for doing her birth mother like that all the pain she suffered and got to deal with her daughter mistreating her…she is old enough to know right from wrong..

  21. I live in Jacksonville where this happened. Tbh, I didn't like Kamiyah's attitude towards her parents. It seemed like she looked down on them because they didn't have a lot of money unlike her abductor. I had a baby in the same hospital in 2006 and they were very strict about security because of this.

  22. I feel bad for EVERYONE that was involved, even her ‘fake’ mother…but I’m happy this child has such a balanced and non resentful view on this issue. Just hope that the kidnapper is truly sorry, the victims be able to heal and possibly forgive.

  23. you guys have to realize that this girl was raised and under gloria's 'care' for 18 years. EIGHTEEN. she won't be able to just flick the emotions off like a switch, she never knew her biological mother before hand, and she could very well have a case of stockholm syndrome

  24. I’m confused as to how she says she didn’t mean to hurt the lady. When she literally STOLE HER CHILD! She felt the pain of losing a child because she had a miscarriage, so why would she make another woman go through that same pain? I know she saw the lady begging and pleading for her child back on the news and she still decided to keep her. For those reasons she will forever be selfish to me. ☹️ she literally robbed a lady of 18 years of motherhood & has the nerves to say I didn’t mean to hurt you. like what?? 😐

  25. I feel like neither party truly understand each other ~ the birthmother doesn't understand why she doesn't come running to her & the girl doesn't know why they can't understand she's been raised by them her entire life & she loves them, it's all she knows

  26. This young lady will never understand or have any real compassion for her real mother till she has a child of her own and or possibly lose a child!!!! She’s far to immature to understand the terror and grief her biological mother and their family was drug through!!!!

  27. When she yelled at her and said “I’m your mother” I wanted to tell her to stfu it’s too late get over it

  28. It's not right how it happened, but you get the sense that Kamiyah probably had a more stable life growing up with Gloria than she would have had being raised by her teenage parents. Until the sh*t hit the fan anyway.

Seems as if biomom's emotional and psychological development arrested at the age she was when she lost her daughter :<

  29. The lady who kidnapped loved her and did a pretty good job raising her. She does not have any hate in her ❤️ heart
