Media is going to far. No one is banning birth control. Most people that are for abortions without restrictions live in states where abortions will be protected.
I bet the males in positions of passing laws, (local, state and federal) would not prohibit men from getting a vasectomy, even though that is a contraceptive form of stopping pregnancy.
