Honestly, ill never understand kidnapping takint advantage of a small child who hasnt lived out there lifenand taking them away from there parents makes no sence to me tbh.
"Hurry! Your mom is in the hospital! We need to see her now!"
Me: has a mom
Me: ; -;
Also me: I don't have a mom.
Kidnapper: ; -;
Me: ' -'
When you are in this situation when sketchy people persuades you to get in the car because of "family emergencies" just say "ok let me call my parents to make sure". If they don't want you to do that, DON'T GET IN THE CAR
Code word is VERY BAD!!! – it’s easily possible for an abductor to find out the “code wordâ€ÂÂ. Then the abductor has easy work of your child. Best policy is for the child to simply refuse and take off.
Why does that mum look so butch
Good!👠But they also need to teach kids to keep their distance. Sometimes talking won't protect you but put you close enough to a potential kidnapper. The code word is only one technique and different situations require different actions or responses. The code word is a good start.
But what IS the code word?
No one could of ever tricked me when i was younger by saying your brother/sister is injured etc, because i was, and still am an only child.
Getting close enough to talk to this guy is not smart. Plus the kidnapper in Cincinnati was the father of the girl's good friend, so he wasn't perceived as a threat. Politeness and manners get girls and boys killed.
A pervert started following me in his car when I was 9 in 1964. He kept passing by as I was getting closer to home and there was no way I wanted him to see where I lived. I had no paper or pen but I stopped on the sidewalk as he drove past for the 4th time, and I made the exact motions of carefully and accurately writing down his license plate. His face registered alarm and he left for good. He was a white middle aged man, probably a family man, pillar of the community and completely shocked that was risking everything. It's like it didn't occur to him before.
I think kids need to be calm and use their wits.
I never told my parents, siblings or anyone, the result would be to lose my freedom. No point in that.
Scary. How'd he know she had a brother? Lucky guess? Or stalking?
Don't forget! In North Carolina, there is a missing girl for a week now! Hania Aguilar is her name!
Thank you ABC NEWS. This is a great story. Thankfully all the kids are safe. Codewords are a great idea. Its sad that they have to be used but anything to keep a child from being abducted is great. 🌹🌹🌹
I was a single mom of a latch key child and we had codes for each different scenario. Applause to the parent and child for bring this to everyone's attention.
My mom had a codeword for us as kids for this same reason. It was Oscar the Grouch. We never had to use it. But i still remember what it was. And i plan to do the same with my son.
My kids are now 29 and 31 we had a secret code word they still remember that word. Thank God we never had to use it but made us feel little more safe.
Someone Re-Hire Chris Hansen plz.
Bitch be gone
Serial killer for sure .
Good job! Kick, scratch, bite, scream. Sickos like easy prey. Teach your kiddos to not be victims!
And so many Americans fear the immigrants….look again.
Some pedophiles dislike this video.
That sounds about white.
Aww I thought I was learning something new. But I’m so glad the kid had a great presence of mind!
That's why ima put a GPS tracker in my children's heads lol
Really smart.
Surveillance video cameras need to be updated to be able to read license plate numbers
Why do all these surveillance videos always have the lousiest picture? Why even have them? If this is all it takes to catch these possible killers, then why isn’t this priority number one??
