Nothing about this video told me "How WeWork plunged from almost $50 billion in value to nearly worthless".
According to this video, he raised a lot of money, had a surf instructor and hairstylist in the Hamptons and end of story.
These companies that operate like cults are an opportunistic infection. Their little spores are always floating over our economy but it's only when the right kind of fools are in charge that these things flourish. In this case it's a bunch of men in their 50s and 60s some in their 70s and 80s but most with lead poisoning from when lead was put in gasoline and they grew up got in their brain and it never came out and now they're angry dumb and impulsive. Also known as cult food.
Many companies are now looking to keep their people at home because its cheaper for them with not paying rent. Also many of the staff prefer to work from home as they no longer have to spend a large part of their day travelling to work and back. And people starting their own businesses prefer to work from home so no need to rent office space. A trend which has been happening for some time now.
Did anyone else see the fly in Maureen's room?
the way they designed the interior is amazing you can be in there all day and not feel like leaving its one of the best places to work as a freelancer or entrepreneur however as they started to lower the cost to membership it has attracted some lower quality people, so I left and went to a new place which is only for tech start ups
Looking at pigeons and see swans 🦢 there’s a lot of that coming aroundâš¡ï¸ÂÂ
Just more evidence that wall street is easy pray for vapourware cons. Ridiculous fake valuation pumped up by a con artist and his fluffers.
This is like the more milder Theranos
The system don't work i shouldn't have purchase my life !!!!
Is it really that hard to convince know nothing investors that probably can’t even write an email to dump money on this nonsense.
Our office space remains empty as we as well as other companies are working from home from now on.
Yet pretty boy and his awful wife walk away with stolen billions. The male Elizabeth Holmes.
I've worked in these kinds of offices before. They're awful. Good riddance IMO.
for some reason it was treated as a tech company start up. it was just a property management company.
Adam Neumann is another scammer. I never believed a word he said.
I got to a we work in Manchester and it’s actually really nice 😂
keyword = value. It was not worth a dime from the start
I was in a We Work for a few months before I got a better job. They set 15 of us up in one tiny room. Conference rooms were a joke and hard to get much actual work done. People who ran it were great loved the perks even had beer in the fridge for a while, video games in the hall, and smores nights. Best part was I could bring my dog on occasion.
I can see why people fell for him, he's beautiful and charming. I wouldn't have been able to resist him either
Face it, capitalism is done. Let's move on. Shareholders aren't even the main focus of corporations anymore, it's about enriching the CEOS.
Invest in the green space so at least we can save the planet.
I like People Ready? I call them P.R.? Just a nomad vagrant? The Eurostar is something like Amtrak though!
Lol, I always knew that company sounded like a flop from the beginning because I couldn’t ever figure out what value they added to society. Lol
Just watched the Hulu documentary. It was excellent. I will definitely be getting this book. I think his lavish spending played a big role in the downfall
Whats wrong with a rental space company? Just be honest… no shame and those who love using it need it! Is this a problem?
Wework is Sydney is trash. Im not surprised it didnt work.
We have a shared workplace rental in our town, it's already sold out and not opened yet.
This just proves that just because you have money doesn't mean you are smart.
There a sucker born every minute!
I was at WeWork for 4 years total in the last 6 years. I loved it. The other 2 years I was in a 9-5 office. That’s the real cult.
I've been calling this for years lol. They were never profitable

Irony: Doves are really pigeons. Anyway, all birds drop goo – it's what they do.
