5. According NHTSA in 2018 there were 6.734 million traffic accidents in the U.S. There were 10,511 alcohol-related fatalities. 10511 divided by 6.734 million is 0.0015 or just 0.1%. In other words, if you are in an accident you are 99.9% likely not to be killed by a drunk driver. With such high odds for survival Republicans demand the right to drive drunk.
