The 369th Infantry Regiment, nicknamed the “Harlem Hellfighters,” received the Congressional Gold Medal on Wednesday nearly 103 years after the regiment’s service in World War I.

OutstandingðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿
Kind of insulting that they waited until they were all dead to finally get the honor.
the real reason they won the war
WW I soldiers in uniform in Diluth Minnesota ( Bob Dylan hometown) were hung in uniform . Townspeople regret grew over the years. Thank God. Memorial statues of the three have been erected… Some 80 odd years later but Damm.
More than 100 years too late.
103 years later?! Wish they could have enjoyed this honor personally but better late then l later I guess
ABC news never let a race baiting opportunity go.
And did they serve more than a white unit, Bc when you say American that doesn’t apply. It didn’t apply to these men who fought that they were Americans. I hate when y’all word y’all stuff as if we were equal back then. David used to be my fave now he’s like the rest of that news station
Should’ve been done when they were alive, and fought for a country who would’ve lynched them or burned their homes down. But nowadays after the struggle and deaths, we are deserving of recognition, so thanks Biden for being the only president since WW1 to actually give credit where it’s bid a due.
WHERE ARE THE STATUES FOR THESE PATRIOTS? WHERE ARE THE MILITARY PARK EXHIBITS FOR THEM? WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE YELLING AND SCREAMING THAT'S MY HERITAGE I WON'T LET YOU REWRITE HISTORY? WHERE ARE THE MILITARY BASES NAMED AFTER THESE HEROES?
Really we are so tired of symbolic gestures instead of tangible resources from the US government 🙄. How about black Americans get a Marshall plan like they did for Japan in the 1960's or better yet like they are doing for the Afghan people.
What bravery that these guys shown
Black solder, 😂 sounds looks danger 👽😹ðŸâ€â€Ã‚½
My ancestors fought in the Civil War along with World War I and World War II. And they did not have The right to Vote. Until August 6, 1965. That’s when Black people received the right to vote. I thank you Muhammad Ali, reverend Dr. Martin Luther King and so many others for just standing.ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¾ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿✊ðŸÂ¿💪ðŸÂ¿ for me to actually have the right to VOTE.!!!!âœÂÂðŸÂ¾
America continues to be late to the game.
"Long overdue"
I have just learned that 100 years ago that German soldiers along with the German officers had already recognized the Harlem Hell fighters. When your enemy gives you honors and recognizes you with the utmost respect.. And your own country hasn’t, you’re only wonder who really Is The actual Enemy. Congratulations to each and every last one of you. And their Families that has actually endured so long. just for respect from your. own country.ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¾👌ðŸÂ¿ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¿ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸâ€â€Ã‚½
I have never heard of the 'Harlem Hellfighters'. Hats off to them for their services. Will now research more about them!ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸâ€ÂÂ¥

Enough of the Symbolism, Cut the Checks for Descendants of Slaves!
That's Right..
Black Americans Has Faught and Died Bravely For America..
I had The Privilege of Meeting some of these Brave Men as I was Growing up..
On top of all that comes with participation in WWII (honor, heroism, patriotism, Valor etc.) and having heard of so many accounts of battles in the war, these young men have been long overdue for this. I hope the surviving family of all of them can feel a sense of pride that extends beyond the imagination of most people. These heros should be lauded as prime examples of the American fighting spirit and true American patriotism vital to the survival of our nation and military, as well as the values we hold dear and aim to spread across the world. Thank you for your service men.
First line of defenseðŸ‘ÂÂ
American Heroes!
"You are on the frontlines. You are not expected to survive."

Reliving past glories ain't doing a thing to fix Biden's Afghanistan Cluster___k.
wow my brothers finally getting recognized for their part in helping assist the Europeans in ww1
They were very young men. I can't imagine being in that position at such a young age. As a millennial, I got to enjoy safety growing and focus on my education. I commend and will always be grateful these men, and men and women of the WWI WWII Era.
why now?
THINK YOU. GUYS. FOR. YOUR SERVICE ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»👌ðŸÂ»
They fought during a time in history when segregation and racism was the norms. A time of absolute bliss for some people and hell for others.
Breadcrumbing & blackmailing to prepare them for the deadliest war on earth soon…
It would be nice if black people actually cared..too little too late
