    Sorry prices are higher than ever. Cost of living DOESN'T compare. Utilities up too but NO ONE gets it, nor cares other than the CEO and others making millions while we beg for food. It's either food, your meds, or bills. America haha

    High gas prices "justified" the cost increase of groceries, but when gas prices dropped, grocery prices still increased. (Even though the stores began preparing and selling foods that were close to expiring, if not already passed their expiration dates, to cut their losses. They also used the gimmick of rewarding certain purchases of overstocked items with gas discounts. But they allowed the cost of groceries to escalate.)

    When I grocery shop, I buy store brand, I use coupons if I have them, I buy items on sale, I generally buy the same items week after week and try not to splurge on non-essentials . . . maybe one extra item per visit (this week was a bag of Cheetos). I bypass the meat department almost entirely, save for a pound of hamburger or some discounted chicken. Generally, my proteins are eggs, hot dogs, and cheap lunch meat. I wish I could go in and just shop and shop for whatever is needed, but not with prices lately.

    Even CEO for progressive soups said there will be soup shortage THIS fall thru winter. Do to crops flooding and covid shut down veggies rotting in the field.

    your basic job is to give information to the public to keep them safe and well aware not miss information it's on your shoulders as a news agency agency when people are starving cuz at the time they should have got food you told not to worry about it

    People are eating out, taking out and ordering delivery. Not grocery shopping and eating at home as much as back in March thru July. Cabin fever is hitting hard. People are taking the risks and going out.

    Trump has no concept of business! How could any economy do well in the height of this Covid financial shutdown? How could people spend what they do not hàve, or made sacr! Sacrificed ? Furthermore if unemployment $ are cut, there would be less $, to go around! People's well being greatly influence their financial outcomes! God save, our nation, our citizens, and the stupidity that persist, and is exhibited by Trump, who now seriously demonstrates lack of strategies, the run any aspect of thisnation! Amen and Amen!

    Lies. All food cost more,no way any where prices going down. The rip off is on…..check your receipts, lots of business making "mistakes" when ringing up your goods…..seem to get overcharged at every stop…..

    There is no logic in what the store manager says. "People have less money, so they buy less."
    Yes, but lowering the prices is only destroying the supermarket. People won't spend more, but get more for their money.
    Later this market is bankrupt and people can go to another market until this one is bankrupt, too.
    Free market solutions are much better. Increased prices will also make the farmers who produce this food, motivated to produce it.
    If you lower the prices, the farmers get less and more likely they go bankrupt. On the long run this means, that less farmers are producing food, and thus you also have less products in the market to be sold. Then the price is going up again and nobody profits in the end.
    Please learn something about inflation, thank you. The prices only go up, because the central banks are "printing" more money and give it to people.
    Money based "solutions" are no solutions, they are a "magic trick" which is an illusion, because printing more money and handing it out, does not solve ANY problems.

    Wow,that sounds great,half of americans still haven't gotten their 1st check like me,on Disability I had to file 14039 form,yes identity theft,i have done all the steps,talked to IRS,rep,some were very nice,one was totally nasty,and hung up on me,i was trying to explain she didn't even want to what I saying

    Delflationary pattern starting. Hopefully it’s not a sign of stagflation like the Great Depression! This may sound good , but it may end terribly.
