Greta Thunberg was named Time magazine’s 2019 Person of the Year. She is the youngest figure to receive the distinction in its 92-year history.

“She became the biggest voice on the biggest issue facing the planet this year, coming from essentially nowhere to lead a worldwide movement,” Time Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal said at the announcement on Wednesday. “She embodies youth activism.”

  1. There are people doing far better things than this , just another grab for attention youngster….Anyone can skip their school , anyone can protest…. If giving emotional speeches in the press gives you a times award, hell i am doing this too ..

  2. This is ridiculous, she is too young to have accomplished anything important in life. So what if she is on TV advocating for a good cause. Anyone can do that.
