The group, led by an experienced British climber, left Nanda Devi base camp on May 13 and were heading into unchartered territory with the goal of climbing India’s second highest peak.

  1. Is this the first time precious lives have been lost due to foolishness? N O! so why do defiant & arrogant people pursue this suicidal mission? Thank you God Most High for the 4 people that backed out and hope they & others never attempt this mountainous death. This craziness should be banned.

  2. All those who are commenting that mountaineers are stupid and should not be rescued … How about we stop healthcare for all who are diabetics due to fast food and sedantry life and other fat bastards who are stupid enough to sit on a couch and eat pizza and drink beer and now are just increasing the country's healthcare budgets.

  3. Rich people go up in expensive climb. Top of the line equipment. Expert. Yet the relatives demand the locals risk their lives for low pay and rescue.

  4. These inexperienced climbers
    who climb Everest, should be
well and truly vetted beforehand. Not only are they
selfish and stupid, but they can
    cause experienced climbers to
lose their lives, trying to find
    them, and bring them down.

  5. Frantic? Desperate search? Why waste the resources and possible additional lives!?! Those climbers knew they could die when they started so don’t get frantic and go on a desperate search 😳 let them reap what they’ve sown!

  6. These old, out of shape desk jockeys should stay home. They're a danger to themselves and a danger to rescue crews who are tasked to search for them.
