Torrential rain causes flash flooding and water rescues in Houston. https://abcn.ws/2VpWAw5

Trailing thunderstorms brought torrential rain to parts of southeast Texas and southern Louisiana overnight. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches caused major flash flooding in parts of the region, especially metro Houston.

Rainfall totals in this region are estimated to be up to 6 inches, though official totals are not in yet. The very heavy rain caused numerous water rescues in Houston on Thursday night and stranded cars on area roadways.

  1. Climate is definitely changing….when you compare today's MAY temperatures in the Americas and compare it with south America , Asia, Africa and Europe…you can see the temperatures are not normal….South America is the tropics and it is as chilly as North America….when temps should be about as hot as Africa because it's below the equator…..you got 50° dipping down in parts of Mexico…..weird….in the US southern states like WV, VA,NC,SC,GA it would be 90° in MAY all through the 1980's and 1990's….then somewhere in the mid 2000's it went down to 80°-85°….today it's freaking barely raising into 70° with a chilly bitter breeze behind it….always cloudy and gloomy with only just a couple of minutes a day of the sun….how depressing…..and our seasons are happening later……..sunrise/sunset times for summer are also different from the early 1980's….well😔this will hurt a lot of businesses near beaches because no one will want to travel or vacation in cold and gloomy weather

  2. Instead of prayer and spending time bashing migrants and preparing for some fantasy apocalypse how about Texas spends some money on infrastucture so that this crap is not a semi yearly occurrence?….no, would rather do another pointless and wasteful study?….ok see ya next year!!!

  3. Looks like a mini hurricane to me. Wow that wind?👀😦All the best to effected states. Hope & pray they will receive Aid🛡 quickly!🚑🚒🚑🇺🇸

  4. hey texas, you have had nearly 50 years to prepare for the effects of anthropogenic global warming. to the extent that you have deliberately ignored this incontrovertible fact, and elected public officials which denied global warming, this disaster (latin for "ominous star in the heavens") is ON YOU. enjoy your fate, you earned it.

  5. I love Houston but I can’t wait to move out from here 😕

  6. The lightning that night was something that no one I have talked to have ever seen in their life time. It felt like I was on another planet during a electrical storm. Five to ten strike would happen, and before they ended, more strikes would come. The sky was lite up for hours none stop. It was so bad that the tornadoes knocking down trees outside wasn't even my main concern.

  7. End of times is here we about to go to war again also the Pope just said we need a world leader to control the nation which is the anti christ now flooding I'm telling u the end is here idk if u believe it or not

  8. I've lived in Texas all my life ,Houston has always had flood problems it goes back hundreds of years its common sense dont live there plain and simple

  9. Maybe, it's time for your researchers to start looking into weather warfare. Man manipulated weather. They have been doing this long enough that you should be discussing this with your audience. I have watched the chemtrails in the sky for years now. They seed the clouds and sky's with harmful chemicals that are killing wildlife, trees, our water and everything it touches. People are always sick from upper respiratory infections, coughing and hacking. They get extremely tired and headaches. So, if there be any climate change, they are the ones doing it.
