  1. When I noticed that a nearby park was not well maintained I began picking up the trash every day. Then I started trimming the shrubbery when I do my own. The park has looked great for three years now and our neighbors are pleased. About a year ago my next door neighbor injured his back and was looking for a gardener. I told him I'll just slide over and take care of his yard too.
    I may be in a little over my head as I'm heading towards 70, but I sure don't need a gym membership.
