The family of Jordan Lindsey, 21, who died in the Bahamas, spoke exclusively to “GMA” about the changes they want to see to protect other people from sharks.

Oh my God a couple of tourniquets could have saved this girl's life. I am shocked that not even one person in that situation thought to make at least a bootleg tourniquet from cloth or use belts or something even if they had to hold the tention the whole time two people could have done it and she would have lived
Yet people say sharks are relatively safe to swim with lol
🤨 Ummm….Well, i mean….😕 you're in the Bahamas…🤆Im just sayin you should know that there's about 100% Chance you will run into a shark errrr 6 whilst Yerr in the ocean! I'm Sayin, its sorta common knowledge…. Like, their ocean houses about a billion sharks…. I mean, that's a sharky area of the world… just about everybody knows this, even if they've never been to the Bahamas… everybody knows that there are sharks in the ocean there in particular… just as there are in Australia North Carolina…Hawaii Florida etc…. Same goes for alligators in the Florida swamps…I am Simply Sayin, ya know Florida's got gators the Bahama's gotz sharks! Ya Dig? !
NO ONE had a ROPE….Uhhh.. a BELT….a fukin STRING? NOTHING they could have possibly used as a tourniquet??? Y'all Were On A Boat With Nada You Could Maybe Makeshift Into A Tourniquet? This Is A Surprise!
So sad. Rest in peace. My condolenses to this family.
WHAT A SAD STORY. THEY SHOULDA JUST WAITED! BUT HEY IT'S GOD'S WILL.
I always watch these interviews of people who survived shark attacks, but I've never watched one where the person didn't survive.
Such a tragedy, no excuses!
🤯
The newscasters should have switched gears earlier.
The tour company don't have the medical supplies or first aid kit on board. You need a lawsuit against the tour company.
Like if they have never seen sharks out there. I hope the Mom will get better. So sad.
These are the results of these idiot shark activist that advertise saying sharks don't attack.Cuz of these false advertisement nowadays ppl think sharks are some kind of friendly fish.Let me tell you something "Sharks are unpredictable"!!! Get that threw your head.It will attack anything when its hungry.I'll say it one more time it will attack anything that's in the water when its hungry!! don't ever think once that shark goes out of distance it won't come back.Cause it will and Sharks responds to motor engines. So don't jump in the water right after you turn off that engine.Look around see if there is any shark activity then jump in the ocean.
Shark feeding tours are conditioning sharks that people=food.
That is why I don't go to the beach anymore since I was a kid. How the hell is anyone especially Adults comfortable going in the ocean knowing that it's full of Sharks, Killer Whales, Piranhas etc 🤷ðŸÂ»â€ÂÂ♀ï¸ÂÂ
First, so so sorry for your loss. But, obviously you know there could be sharks when you swim in the water, right? The company had to tell you?
That's just awful! I think that accident could have been avoided if the tour was set up to have spotters looking for sharks or somebody in the water with a gun locked & loaded.
ðŸ™ÂÂðŸ™ÂÂðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¿ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¾
I will decline going on tour with the company and on that side of Bahamas
Another reason I don't swim in the ocean.
It is a tragedy that this happened to her. It rarely happens, Just keep in mind, and I do every time I enter the ocean water that we are going into the shark's home. They live in the ocean and they did not invire us into their house. I do enjoy the beach and enter shallow all the time. But I know I can be attacked at any time. Luclily, I never have, thank God.
Well i hope they sued that company because if someone would have tied her leg up she could still be alive smh.
The tour company gave a statement they took all reasonable precautions to prevent such an incident. Liars! At the beginning of the video a local man is talking about how the tour companies in the area know there are a lot of sharks in the area. The tour company knew the dangers and none of their employees had any first aid training, no first aid equipment on the boat, and no trained medical personal in case of an emergency in the water miles away from shore… IT'S CRIMINAL!!! The lady bled out on the boat because the tour employees simply put a towel over her severed limb bleeding out while the boat goes back to shore. People survive violent shark attacks all the time because of trained medical professionals on site. This is criminal, greedy behavior from the tour company. They even took the family on knowing they had more people on the boat than allowed just to get a few more bucks. CRIMINAL CRIMINAL CRIMINAL. The board of directors who run that company are terrible human beings. Boycott that company until they cease to exist.
Medical training and supplies are needed
My condolencesâÂÂâ€â€ÃƒÂ¯Ã‚¸ÂÂðŸ’ÂÂ
They should have first aid equipment on board a tourniquet on board on tours like that because you never know â¤ï¸ÂÂâ¤ï¸ÂÂâ¤ï¸ÂÂ
Thats her gf?
The fact that no one knew how to provide a tourniquet with a shirt or anything, I mean come on people use your brains. That could have saved her life. God, this is horrible. I mean they had those rash guard type shirts that stretch. Those are perfect for a tight tourniquet.
Go to Bahamas admire the beach..then go swim in an hotel swimming pool…and live! ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Very sad to hear about Jordan.god rest her soul.may god give strength to her family and girlfriend.they should have medical procedures on these trips just in case something like that happens.
so did the tours change policies about first aid supplies
