Elite climber rescued after fall on Yosemite’s El Capitan

1. Hello. Lynn Hill. First to "free" climb the Nose then repeat it in less than 24 hours. The guys are just now (this year?) starting to catch up. Emily is a serious crusher – period. Glad to hear she's okay.

Alex needs needs to step away from that moutian and not be helping people climb it the way he did it is not the same he took over 4 to 5 years before even starting to climb he climbed it hundreds of times with a rope before climbing he wrote down every single step mutli times before doing this and who knows her story but it just wasnt right

17. El Cap was free climbed in a day a very, very long time ago. Back in 1975.. Jim Bridwell, John Long and Billy Westbay were the first to ever climb the Nose route in a single day.

    There are different routes to the top of El Capitan. Harrington was attempting to do one of these routes (Golden Gate) in a day. This is noteworthy because Golden Gate has only ever been climbed in a day 3 times.

25. I have mixed feelings about this. I admire the fortitude it takes to do really hard stuff like this, but on the other hand, she is really selfish doing these kinds of crazy, adrenaline driven stunts just to make a name for themselves. Not to mention the rescue teams that risk their own lives having to save these risk takers. It's purely selfish that is for sure.

27. I love seeing rescue workers risk their own lives wasting their time and resources saving someone who intentionally put themselves in a situation like this. Find another hobby morons.

30. So weird, i was just there Sunday watching people climb it. Yesterday, i finally watched that movie about Alex climbing it. (made my hands sweaty) now this?

36. Well if I fell down a mountain that guy is the only one I’d want rescuing me that’s for sure. She has some guts I’ll credit her that. A four story fall ain’t no joke and she’s lucky that the safety rope didn’t snap her neck. I guess all those free climbers are a little off in the head and accept that this can happen to any of them at any time too
