The brother of the man who died, Vishnu Viswanath, told The Associated Press that Viswanath and his wife, Meenakshi, had set up to take a selfie before they plummeted off a cliff.

  1. Why? I don't understand it. Come on now! Still have a whole life ahead of you. How about that journey? How about finding God so, you know where you're going to land. 🙏

  2. LIVE IN THE MOMENT AND BE HAPPY FOR YOURSELF! Not for your Instagram followers 😩😩😩

  3. I would like to see that fall. I’d like that photo.👍🏻

  4. Need signs to go up(“ no common sense zone”). Have fun take your photo death at your own risk don’t blame others

  5. Many people want to be remembered by their selfie pictures as having a good time. Unfortunately, so many will be remembered when they make the headline news. In God we trust. In cliffs we don't.

  6. The dog was in position for the selfie and went over the side with them? Not buying this explanation. Thought we were told the father was found with the child sitting under a tree?

  7. Why don’t people say away from the edge of cliffs at Yosemite and places like the Grand Canyon. These are dangerous places. STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGES.

  8. Ignore signs that say stay away from the edge and fall to one's death. No, your lives were not worth any picture.
That entire line of picture taking is stupid enough they should be banned.
Note, I have never felt inclined to take a selfie, just not that self absorbed I guess.

  9. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Do as I say, not as I do….

  10. Dear Family of this beautiful couple,

First off my deepest condolences. I’m saddened to see such a young beautiful couple gone. 😢 It’s a loss to this world.

    A few things I’ve noticed I thought I’ld share.
    1) If cremation was performed November 1st,
How exactly did the coroner come up with an autopsy performed January 4th? A report stating there was alcohol in the system?
*Was this to close the case so the Yosemite tourism doesn’t get affected? As Yosemite tourism makes over 2 million a year.
*Was this report fabricated to prevent INSURANCE payouts to family’s of the deceased via possible Insurance Companies, and/or Cisco?

    2) Alcohol tests after death can be “False Positives” up to 0.20.
These tests are not reliable, especially more so in this case as the autopsy somehow took place months after cremation.
Alcohol levels were not stated. This means that if they had even a glass of wine Upto 90 days prior to death, “there were tiny traces of alcohol in the dna 🧬 “. So this test is Not Reliable!!
HOW IS IT OKAY FOR THE MEDIA TO PUBLICIZE INFORMATION WHICH IS MOST PROBABLY FALSE?
This couple is young & fit. Why would they be drinking during a 12 mile hike?
Also, media said they found the camera. Where are the last few pictures? They used previous pictures & pulled quotes from her Instagram regarding “gust winds”, (to paint a picture of what may have happened) yet the past few pics are not mentioned. Is there something malicious going on where they are painting a picture?
Was Vishnu’s brother mid-quoted? Why isn’t there a video, or audio of the interview? Or did the media simply write what they were instructed to write?
    Just a thought 💭-
Fact: Most Insurers will not be pay out if death occurs due to alcohol abuse.
Is it a conspiracy between Insurers & Yosemite?

Also, each news channel has different dates & informations. These are Red Flags 🚩.
I understand that no one actually knows what happened.
It’s also none of my business, it’s just a thought I cannot shake.. so I felt the need to comment.
However, I feel it’s very wrong.

I’m sorry if my comment is hurtful to the family, friends of Minaxi & Vishnu. I have no intention to pull up wounds. These articles simply feel like a misrepresentation.

I hope their souls are at peace. 🙏🙏

  11. There has to be a 📷 camera man, no selfie 🤳 can beat the photo from in person camera man
