4. Was the FBI involved in this in some way? There was a vaguely similar case in Australia where an eerily-similar looking couple murdered a man with a sword in the middle of the road because of an attempted robbery. In both cases the couples stories are presumed to be true, even though they are obviously not true, and both couples seem to have links to shady dealings with a suspicious amount of cash involved. Both cases seem to have to do with money laundering, probably drug related. In this case the FBI was almost certainly involved, since for sure the guy's brother is a spook.
