23. Dylan's first argument was a cop out, the pandemic if anything should increase TV ratings as there are more people than ever sitting at home doing quarantine. His second point was great. Because media is so diffuse and accessible, we have a lot more options than just what's mainstream. These award shows are competing with a lot more TV channels, streaming, and now gaming. A lot of it also has to do with politics. A lot of these millionaire stars try to tell the average American how to live/behave and it just is a turn-off and phony.
