There were many people this year. Police blocked off an exit and didn't let people out.. and more people kept coming in. One person fell, and there was a domino effect. The people begged the police to unblock the exit, but they didn't listen and 45 crushed to death, many were injured with broken bones…

13. Someone in the Israeli government needs to be held accountable for the tragic decision of the police to barricade a major exit which leads to 3 walkways.
    The walkway leading to the exit was walled in as well as sloped. Once the barricades were put up in the middle of the event, people entering had no idea that the exit had been blocked. The area became a pressure cooker. After considerable time, when people were crammed and suffocating, police finally opened the barricade causing a downward push on the sloped road. The intense pressure and then sudden opening caused the traffic to move too quickly with tragic results.
    There are lots of questions that need to be answered including where are the police body cams and other cameras of the area? Why are they being withheld?

41. It is a mistake what they keep saying about 10,000 people being allowed and 100,000 turned up
    10k was at that specific celebration but 100,000 turned up to the general area.
    Similar numbers to what there was in a normal year pre Covid.
    I did not know about extra barriers because of social distancing, not sure if that was directly connected.
