  1. I live a blocks down hopefully my friend doesn't live in this one it think its the other one i won't tell my adress or this adress but this is so sad me and my nephews freind is a kid i won't share names but his building is near that one and those buildings are the connected ones hopefully he isn't in there if so R.I.P 😭😞👼

  2. So scary. Buildings like that need to have full working sprinkler systems and fire escapes. Mandatory fire alarms that are hooked up to electrical and also have a battery and if taken out, notify landlord.. must have safety closing doors. It’s unbelievable that high rises like this don’t have basic fire safety.

  3. All facts and real data you can research. 19 dead in a 19 story building on the 9th of january which is 1/9. No coincidence. Same way kobe bryant scores 81 points, his highest scoring game on his 666th game scoring 81 points which was 66.67 percent of his teams total points which was 122 total points scored by lakers that day on the 22nd of january. Yall wake up. The world is not what you think it is. Alot of this stuff is set up. Just like tom brady and patriots winning first super bowl in 2002 after the patriot act from 9/11 in 2001. Wake up man.

  8. Hey ABC, regardless of what you report on, you will FAIL this year for your "LIES" and "False Claims " about Trump and Americans like me. I'm a 5th generation American and over the past 3 years your lies have made me the enemy. Screw you for that! We all know now. CNN (Crap News Network) and MSNBC (Miserable Stupid Nasty Broadcasting Crap) have already FAILED. You, ABC (Altogether Bull Crap) network is next. We will not let up and by the end of the year your viewership will be 1/2 of today. I see the future and I guarantee this will happen.

  9. what can we do to prevent this?
give people control over their homes.
    rent is extortion.
    eviction is violence.
a complex should be able to fire their land lord. especially if something this bad happens

  11. Your former commissioner is making declarations about "carelessness" without knowing the facts! Stay in your apartment? The entire building was filled with smoke!!! Perhaps the landlord should have built "fire escapes" to allow easy exit! That's classy …blame the victims when you dont have all the FACTS! What a moron!!!!!

  12. Unfortunately common sense isn’t always common. Rest In Peace to all that lost their lives 🙏🏼🕊

  13. This is so sad. Sending prayers and strength to the victims families. 💞🧚🏾‍♀️✨

  14. If you enjoy living don't live in an old building like this. If it's all you can afford, homelessness would be better.

  15. The reporter says that an investigation needs to show whether the door was dysfunctional or never installed. Sadly there is a third possibility. If the function of the door was overridden by a resident, or if the functioning of the door was disabled, that needs to be investigated as well. I've lived in a building that had these types of doors, and some people who can't stand the way the door automatically closes and slams will actually disable that function, so that they can close the door when they want or leave it open at their own option.

  16. Some evil people commenting here, " dead democrats ", I'm a Republican but first and foremost I'm a parent and a human being. WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD.

  17. I couldn’t care less 😂😂. This is a city that’s allowing illegals to vote and going easy on crime

  18. Victims could be heard screaming… Let’s go Brandon! I agree!

  19. Where are the escape ladders? Where are the sprinklers, has no one learned from past tragedies? Rip to the victims , and hope all the homeless , will find a new place to live, I have said it before , there should never be more than three or four levels to any building, way too many tragedies in high rises! Please no hate on my comment !

  20. Its so sad that Joe Biden is destroying the stock market and our country. I’d be so embarrassed to be a Libtard!

  21. Are we blaming the family here? What do you mean, it's cold people will use space heating 🤔, to say we can't plug up lights and tvs to one or other receptors is wrong, maybe it should have been in the dam lease, no space heaters or you will cause a fire that will kill people, 🤔 wow, come with something else.
    Shame on you.
His ass should of had more escape routes, smh.

  22. Where was Spider-Man when you needed him the most? Nah in all seriousness I feel bad for the family’s involved and may the deceased RIP.
