7. My mom used to work right across from this synagogue. I would look at the designs on the building because I thought they looked pretty. My mom's work would always have stuff for Hanukkah, menorahs, chocolate coins, and dreidles. Since I'm not Jewish I would walk over to that stuff and look at it because I'd only heard of it.

   I was in my school 30 minutes outside of pittsburgh when we heard the news. We were getting ready for our marching band championships. I didn't fully know how close this was to me until I got home and was able to look at my phone. I still can't believe this could've happened in my city.
