  1. I had the great honor of meeting Julia Hawkins in Albuquerque last year right before her race. In fact, she posed for a photo with me that I now display in my house. Incredibly delightful human being and incredibly super fast for her age.
    It will be a long time before anyone breaks her sprint records! On a sad note, she was supposed to run in the indoor championship meet in Baton Rouge this past March at the age of 104. Unfortunately, the coronavirus prevented that track meet. Gold medals for sure! God bless her! Inspiration to all us runners!!
