Can you connect it to a DAC to play music?
omfg that is so cool … the mouse and the keyboard lmfaoooooo i didn't know it could do that! nice video and thank you for the information!
Can u run games from the flash drive etc..
Or to attach a remote camera. I'm going to try it to add a front-facing camera on my car.
Not sure if this helps, but I found connecting the OTG cable to the phone first, then attaching my thumb drive worked while attaching the drive and cable together first then plugging into the phone didn't.
would it take up alot of battery?
i can connect everything except external hard drive. It shows blank/unsupported device.Same thing happens when i format my pen drive in NTFS and then connect it.For other devices,it works perfectly.Pen drive works in FAT32 format.
Very cool demonstration. I tried using an USB to SD card reader and it would open the SD card.
Are there specific formatting issues I should be aware of?
Updated to ICS 4.0.4 on my Galaxy S2 Lte and this does not work. Not even for a logitech mouse. The notification pops up when the cable alone is connected "usb connector connected", but nothing else happens, the mouse does not work. Anybody know if this capability has been removed for ICS 4.0.4? Pissed
Just be aware some hard drives do require a power source. You'll know when you get the harddrive it might have a cable that has the connection to the harddrive at one end and the other end has 2 usb connections. 1 of them can go into a power source like a portable battery. This can be necessary depending on the type of harddrive.
Thank you 🙂
It works on the Galaxy Nexus, I use to do this to drop my camera pictures on my cell phone.
why would you need that when you have a back and front facing camera ?
what the f is the music for these videos
thanks 🙂
Keyboard and mouse work, but mass storage requires root..
All of this can be done on the SGS2 as well. So not really a big surprise that the S3 can do it as well. But cool that you did a video on it 🙂
do this work with the galaxy nexus ?? or it must be a gsIII ??
Android ftw
i tried this and it says "BLANK USB STORAGE" :-(((
