I think dropping the camera bar is a mistake. It is the Pixels most defining design characteristic
would be nice if they resurrected the old popup selfie camera that emerges from the frame of the phone only when you want to take a selfie pic. that was legendary tech and I bet they could make it work today.
16 gigs of ram is ridiculous for a phone. If that much is necessary then the apps and os probably aren't as efficient as they should be.
Nobody gonna buy it as long it has tensor😂
I think the price was the main reason the Fold didnt go crazy in the foldable market. Honestly if they priced it around $1400, so many people would buy it. If you need to limit features or use cameras from the Google Pixel 8 Pro, do it. Sales will definitely make the cost worth it!
I actually hope we get a multitasking feature similar to OnePlus Open's "Open Canvas". That multi window in between apps is pretty innovative because it makes touch screen layout much more convenient in switching between apps. It should be standard across both foldables and tablets.
Still waiting for a foldable with a stylus integrated and Google will never do that. Google is also an unethical company that don't deserve so much of my money
I wish they kept the old form factor. Just with smaller bezels on the inner screen.
Oh no!!!! This aspect ratio is terrible! If that's true I will not buy it. That's really sad for me. Pixel Fold 1 has really the perfect size in my case.
Seeing how the Oneplus open and Honor Magic V2 was the best out of the foldable market when it comes to usability and aspect ratio I'm not surprised at all that google is planning on changing up their design to the same thing as well
Wow, that camera bump design is a huge downgrade and hideous. No longer has to iconic pixel identity at all. The exterior design of the original Pixel Fold was the best part about it. They completely threw away the elegant design they had. All they had to change was the inner bezels looks wise
Pixel 9
Pixel 9 pro
Pixel 9 fold
See you in October
The visor is good cause it makes the camera bump look asthetic while also balancing the phone. This doesn't look good imo. I dont like the pixel 9 leak visors either, the curving visor looks amazing!
NOOOOOOO
The bar is iconic to the Pixel's design!
The square camera bump looks awful.
And still, tech giant like Google not trying to make a full view screen to remove the sh*t hole from smartphone permanently!!!
Nothing about this is "wild"
Mmm yes foldable devices. The latest innovation that almost no one wants that are being shoved down our throats anyways. Much like curved screens.
Later this year it'll be the year of the revenge of the folds ! Already excited
Actually love my Pixel Fold. Only complaints from me were the battery life and the phone not opening all the way. Otherwise, very solid phone. I'll definitely make the switch to the Fold 2 later this yr if it's got the updated Tensor chip and the hardware is similar to the OnePlus Open ratio.
Unless the leaks talk about a price decrease, it's a moot point for me. If trends continue, prices go up, not down. No way am I paying that much for a phone.
Let's hope they come to their senses this time and don't try to sell us a second gen device as if it was a gen 5…6 device and fingers crossed for this to be the first foldable without a crease (it's still a mystery to me how after so many generations there's still no foldable without it since it's so f… easy to solve this problem plus the first brand to do it will sell them has hot bread no matter the price)
I might never buy another fold again if it's not like the Honour magic v2. Thin, light, wide front display and good battery.
If they delay launch until after the fold 6, they may lose a lot of sales
Camera bump isn't as cool as the visor.
My next phone ðŸ˜ÂÂ
I don't know anyone who has one. Do people buy pixel in the first place 🤷
Funny how OnePlus managed app compatibility and yet Google, of all companies, couldn't! 😂
