Tegra 3 gaming on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 HTC One X/HTC One XL

1. Yes the game runs great, but i lacks the effects that the tegra 3 version offers.

8. Dude ur not playing the THD version, u can root ur phone to download and play the Tegra 3 version on a better architectured chipset like the S4. Runs smooth on my rooted GS3 US.

10. You may find them annoying but the reality is it takes more out of the graphics to produce them. If they were on with the qualcom chip there would be lag.

11. Yea, there are no water effects (which I tend to find annoying and distracting) and no blur effects (once again annoying). The fact is the s4 is just as good as the tegra 3 when playing games. It actually performs better in graphic benchmarks such as nenamark2. Im going to assume you own the One X, and want to make yourself feel good for making the purchase of the phone by making the tegra 3 seem like the greatest thing in the mobile world when in reality, it is not.

12. Can you please post a video of the AT&T One X playing MC3 or some other graphically intensive game? Preferably NOVA 3 when it's released?

15. So you think those additional water droplets on the screen and motion blur will slow down the GPU in the snapdragon S4 significantly compared to tegra3? I doubt so. The adreno 225 is only 10% slower in some benchmarks and outperforms the geforce ULP in some.

18. youre comparing processors, while smartphones have plenty of cpu power today but not enough gpu power – the snap dragon s4 is better for gaming from cpu side and it will destroy everything this year with a adreno 320+ (atleast it will crush the tegra and galaxys – i dont expect much competition after that)

    and in fact a full load quad core against a overclocked full load dualcore will use more power – and you can expand the battery of the s2 not of the one x

19. there multiply options for accurate – either its the dimension of the text, the colour or simply the touchscreen
    for the coulours – they were amazing, maybe not as perfect as a 200€ pc display or a 500€ tv but still looked very good
    the dimensions are fine
    the touchscreen is more than good enough – even with a 3mm glass protector

    no game will use 4 cores – if you dont want to understand that its not my problem
    and the fact that it has higher screen res than s2 – s2 can compete on stock clocks

20. either you never seen a galaxy s2 or you simply dont know that there actually settings on a android phone … the default screen was made to look a bit more colourfull, you could change it to more colourfull or "normal" in the settings
    the one x is as fast as a overclocked s2 in gaming and a overclocked s2 is as fast as a s3 in gaming
    and i was more talking about quallcomm this year …

21. htc uses pretty crappy software but makes it look cool/beatifull so kids or maybe elder people actually buy it – hardwarewise the galaxys beat any htc but well this year quallcomm gonna take the lead – the adreno 320 and a 28nm improved a9 design will easily beat the mali 400 and a 32nm a9 design
    in terms of performance and powersavings easily

22. the games wont use 4 cores
    for example, the dark meadow – a tegra 3 only game – theres a modded version of it and someone got it running on a singlecore device (overclocked ofcourse) and i can play nearly all tegra 3 games on my galaxy s2 (some simply dont start, has something to do with the rom iam using, others can get those games with other roms too)

23. The TI Mali 400 GPU for instance is known to be more efficient than the Tegra GPU even tho it's older, but the Tegra slightly out performs it because of the higher clock and more cores. I like nVidias initiative to bring more game developers to Android, but I think Google should be doing that.
    As for battery life,
    The Tegra is quite good with battery thanks to the 5th companion core (insert portal joke). I think the S4 is very good with battery in it's own right aswell with it's approach.

25. LOL way to misinform your viewers. There is a Tegra 3 version that adds visual effects not seen in your video, and there is another version (which you have) sans effects. I have the same thing on my atrix 2. Stupid video is stupid.

27. The only difference between the graphics cores in the S4 and Tegra 3 is that nVidia pay game developers to make Tegra exclusive features. you can run Chainfire 3D and get the same effects. The tegra gpu's are the most overrated chips ever…

32. This does NOT look like the Tegra 3 version. I REALLY HOPE THE Galaxy S3 on Verizon has either Exynos or Tegra 3 ALL I do on my phone is text and game.
