Of all the things this phone can do, unfortunately this is one of the more cumbersome features.
Will nexus 5 have this feature
you hold the home button for multitasking dipshit xD its much faster than holding a button
Pointless feature. Simply click on the menu button to select recent apps much quicker. Seriously poor.
@dliuzzo yes jelly bean does this this is a wack version of the task manager that's already in jelly bean which is much better.
what if you save a video streaming will it continue buffering in the background? thanks
This feature would be useful on a phone which is around 6.4 inches big. This phone is small for guys like me who have large, long hands. But nice feature LG, keep thinking of more useful features. You guys are on the right path to overtake the throne for number 1 smartphone maker in 3 or 5 years.
Instead of sliding with fingers, they should've made it motion censor, where we can just tap or shake the phone to the left to make it slide… THINK LG… not against LG or anytyhing…
Such an unnecessary feature.. Using 3 fingers on ure phone.. Yeah right very convenient
which is how most hot girls are. (most, not all)
Meh, I'll stick with Glovebox.
I'd rather just be able to swipe an edge and get to the last running task, like with Windows' ALT+TAB. Is it that much to ask? I think the Android multitasking system (and the one demonstrated here) is just too slow. The extra taps and clicks are just annoying.
I dont think its "useless crap" probably the main reason is 3 apps only its because it actually saves them meaning that ram will be locked down and never lag to reopen. At IFFA some LG workers said the G2 used some video ram.I seen phones lag or reopen apps again when using multitask on standard android. And honestly I think your just judging the feature by its look and what it can do.
Actually, it save states supported apps so you don't suffer any RAM leaks. The general multitasker often loses content or has to reload a web page for example…with slide aside you can lose your connection and still read the page you loaded previously
Great clock time
It actually has really nice software, intuitive with the actual physical phone design.
And this is useful how? Stop trying to top Samsung in the useless features catagory LG.
I like your girl analogy… +1 for you.
This is some useless crap, standard android multitasking feature is way more efficient than using fucking 3 fingers and having only 3 apps to multitask, oh dear this phone is such a pain, is like the hottest girl(hardware) with the stupidest personality(software)
@Th3Dizzler look if you dont like the phone why are you watching videos for it? Please grow up.
A for effort, but I don't think this is the most game changing feature to put it lightly. I still think the Note devices have multi tasking down to the T.
STFU & GET OUT
Man some people should just stick with simple iphones
@xilefx this is not useless if you actually know how to use a top tier multi tasking phone. To bad common sense isnt so common.
@phillisbi224 jelly bean does not do this.
@spangler736 did you even watch the video? He did put 3 specific apps there. NOT the last 3 apps
Too awkward to be useful.
Jelly bean already does this
